Review: Good printer, and not like any use owned in the past. - Okay, so this wasn't hard to set up, but you do need to follow the instructions. This isn't a printer you can just plug in and start printing. I've noticed a lot of bad reviews because some people can't figure out why the printer can't detect the paper you've loaded, but there’s a reason. if you're getting the load paper message, even though you've loaded paper into the tray, and can't figure out why, it's because the paper tray pulls out so you can load paper in it, but it can also tell if you didn't push the tray back into the printer. The printer has a sensor just for the tray. It cannot reach the paper unless you push the tray back in, giving you the load paper message. Beyond that, everything works fine with the printer. Wifi for the printer took a little thinking, but not too hard. Print quality is average, but that's expected for a low priced printer. It is kind of loud, but it's a printer. What did anyone expect? It's not going to be quiet.

**Q: Does the printer come with colored ink or is it just black ink in the box?**
A: Both!  Under “What’s in the box” for both the black and the white models, it says:

Set of Ink Cartridges (PG-243/CL-244)

**Q: When it runs out of ink, will it work with universal ink cartridges or will we have to use Canon inks?**
A: I haven’t gotten to that point but there are only two cartridges a black and a color. I’ve never seen all colors come out of one cartridge and I’ve never seen any universals. I guess that’s why the printer is so cheap. Im not sure what the cartridges cost but I suspect it may be cheaper to recycle the printer when the ink runs out and buy a new printer

Okay, so this wasn't hard to set up, but you do need to follow the instructions. This isn't a printer you can just plug in and start printing. I've noticed a lot of bad reviews because some people can't figure out why the printer can't detect the paper you've loaded, but there’s a reason. if you're getting the load paper message, even though you've loaded paper into the tray, and can't figure out why, it's because the paper tray pulls out so you can load paper in it, but it can also tell if you didn't push the tray back into the printer. The printer has a sensor just for the tray. It cannot reach the paper unless you push the tray back in, giving you the load paper message. Beyond that, everything works fine with the printer. Wifi for the printer took a little thinking, but not too hard. Print quality is average, but that's expected for a low priced printer. It is kind of loud, but it's a printer. What did anyone expect? It's not going to be quiet.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Never pull jammed paper out the front!

In 3 years it says I printed 100 pages and 75% of those was just trying to get it to work! It just makes cycling sounds and says very nicely “Please wait”. Other times it says load paper when it’s full of paper. When it finally feeds paper it jams half the time. Out of the blue, it will feed and print strong. The time I’ve wasted on this thing is far worse than the money on the unit and I bought my first ink cartridges (Genuine Cannon) and I only got it to test print ONCE!!! Update: I upgraded to two stars because I got it to print two times in a row. It’s a small miracle! 2nd Update: I upgraded to FOUR Stars because I figured out the problem. After a paper jam I was forcefully pulling the paper out the front. This seems to disengage a couple rubber wheels underneath inside a door for clearing paper jams. While cleaning, the wheels pushed back up a “Ramp” and no longer spun freely. They meow feel like engaged into gears. After that, I keep the paper full, not wrinkled and it’s been printing very well. I even invested in more Genuine Cannon Ink! It does print beautiful cat photos too!
