Dickie Toys 48" Mega Crane and Truck Vehicle and Playset

This was a great toy for my 8 year old! He enjoyed helping put it together and likes to play with it and the truck that it came with. The durability is okay, but could be better. It can be very shaky and you have to be careful not to pull on the cord or it will break for good so I do not recommend if little siblings are around.

I've got a three year old grandson that is hard on toys. However, this has sustained his abuse for several weekends, although you have to watch him at his age. He likes to pull on the lifting cable. But he figured out how to run the crane quickly. I read other suggestions to weigh down the base, which is a great idea. I clamped my base onto a plastic, 4 wheel moving dolly so it is more stable AND movable. The only downside is that by raising the crane base up about three to four inches, the crane cable is too short to reach the floor. I'm guessing one could add some cord to it, but haven't tried that yet. Great product tho and the adults have as much, if not more, fun as the kids do. All functions worked fine on my crane. I did take a Sharpie and marked the 'stops' (in/out on the crane arm) and the main tower's rotational stops (they don't want it to go completely around due to control arm wiring). I'd recommend it.

This product is great given the price. My son was amazed to see it - the size - and the remote control are really impressive. Was not difficult to put together. The remote is a little quirky - the directional buttons do not always move the crane the way you plan - but my friend year old just presses all the buttons until it goes the way he wants so it works out. The plastic is a little fragile seeming. Not the most sturdy toy ever-but so far it’s been fine. If the batteries are going dead one function on the remote will go out - so try replacing the batteries before you declare it broken.

My son loves this crane. It's not built to last but it's really cool and really cheap. My 3 year old figured out how to navigate this quickly. He can pick things up move it around and drop them on the table. Too much fun for a little guy. It may break in a few months, not sure yet, but I'll likely buy another one to replace it. My wife and I are having fun too :)

This is very cheap. One of the parts broke while I was putting it together. It was Christmas Eve so I had to use electrical tape so my son would have something to wake up to on Christmas morning. Also the base is way too light and if a kid bumps into it at all it topples over. I don’t expect this will last 1 week. It doesn’t come with the 6 AA batteries and there’s a counter weight box at the top that you have to find something to put in it. Oh and you have to put all the stickers on it yourself too. You’re better off throwing $50 in the trash and buying something else. UPDATE- 3 hours into playing with it the up and down function shorted out and sometimes goes up and down randomly and sometimes just doesn’t work at all. DO NOT BUY THIS.

I waited to review this toy a full year. Love the Dickie toy prices but was apprehensive about buying, compared to other companies offering a similar toy at double the price. I rolled the dice and after that year, this crane is still standing and operating. It gets the full workout with two boys under 10. They have to troubleshoot it on occasion, but always 'fix it'. Operating a remote control is a big attraction. Dickies please come out with more 'action figures' to incorporate and buy separately. Recommend this for kiddos at least 5 or older.

Got it for Christmas and it lasted a day. The motor they have for lifting on the boom is super finicky. For a kids toy they need to be durable. A kid pulled on it and the motor broke immediately. There is also no support offered by the manufacturer. So if your kids are gentle then this is great but mine are not and it lasted just a few hours.

I purchased this after watching videos of it in action and have to admit I was skeptical before watching because of the low price. I'm glad I was pleasantly surprised. It has already taken several tumbles with zero damage sustained. The main operator is 3 1/2 years old and uses it to load his trucks. It comes with an open hook and a spring loaded claw for lifting devises. The only way I could improve this is to have a spring latch on the hook so it won't fall off of the load while there's no tension on the lifting line - but that's being REALLY picky, Everyone has taken turns and enjoyed it.

Für den Preis ist der Kran völlig in Ordnung. Leider ist der öfters umgefallen, nicht von selber sondern beim ausgiebigem spielen, ich kann aber nicht beurteilen ob es bei den anderen Spielzeugen genauso ist. Der Zusammenbau war einfach. Wir haben dann das Unterteil modifiziert, so hat er einen viel besseren Stand.

Great toy for crane obsessed kids. A lot bigger than I thought it would be, our son loves it. Although I didn’t pay much attention to the age guidelines and there are parts that are a little small and tricky to use but overall a great success.

The product is great. well happy with it as well as with the little one that got it from Santa. Poor Santa though, the box is massive, way too big to be honest and could have some thinking to reduce its size. Its the only down side really. Assembly took around 5 mins, with another 5-10 for stickers but playing was already in progress so no issues there. recomend it, excelent value for money.

Mi sobrino está encantada con ella, es muy grande y rota sobre si misma 359º hasta el tope que tieene que hacer en sentido contrario, el mando se ha llevado ya unos golpes y sigue funcionando. La torre también se ha caido... cosas de crios y no se ha roto, solo se desmonta la parte superior

Este juguete es especial, muy padre y grande, vi algunas malas reseñas, tenía el temblor, pero no me arrepiento de comprarlo. Tiene un control remoto alámbrico que hace que suba y baje, así como para que se mueva "el gancho" de la grúa para enfrente y atrás. Es del tamaño de un niño de 4 años y es impresionante para ellos. Tiene una "garra" pero es manual, así que no crean que todo hace automático. Fue un regalo para mi sobrino hace ya algunos meses y aún sigue utilizando y sigue funcionando.
