The SparkFun AS7263 Near Infrared (NIR) Spectrum Sensor Breakout brings spectrum to the palm and allows you to measure and characterize the way different materials absorb and reflect light of different wavelengths than ever before. The AS7263 breakout is unique in that it can communicate with both I2C interface and serial interface using AT command. The Qwiic connector is attached to the board, making it easy to connect --- Just plug one end of the Qwiic cable into the breakout, the other end into one of the Qwiic shields and stack the board on the development board. Ready to upload your sketch to start measuring. The AS7263 minute light meter detects wavelengths in 610, 680, 730, 760, 810, and 860nm visible ranges, and features a full width half-max detection of 20nm respectively. The board also has multiple ways to illuminate the object you want to measure for a more accurate spectrum measurement. It has an on-board LED specifically selected for this task and two pins for soldering your own LED. The SparkFun Qwiic Connect system is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that accelerate prototyping and reduce errors. All Qwiic compatible boards use common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This means less PCB space required and polarized connections cannot be connected incorrectly.
