QISF 7Pcs Bearing Steel Metric Screw Thread Tap M3-M12 Plug Tap Set(Wrench is not include)

I needed to add threads to the floor blank blind rivets in my lincoln navigator to install the middle jumper seat. This set had the two sizes I needed and they worked well with just turning by hand. 1/2 trun then back off and go forward again. I used BP blaster oil for lubrication.

I had my doubts when i ordered these mud flaps, there are very few that fit the rubicon. These fit well and have good quality. They are great value and should hold up well.

The M6 tap is the only one used so far. I found it to be a really great tap. It fit my medium tap handle and did the job in thick aluminum tubing, making a nice clean cut thread. If you have an existing tap set this is a good starter or replacement set. Does not include handle, so you'll have to use one you have or buy one separately. Downgraded one star because it is not titanium coated. Also did not come in the usual box that most things seem to come in these days, so you'll have to add it to whatever kit you have.

Not sure what they are calling Bearing steel but these taps did not hold up. Had to replace them after just a couple of uses, poor quality. Used them to tap brass and aluminum only and are already dull.

This set contains the commonly used metric threads. Great for cleaning up metric threads. Must have for auto / maintenence mechanics' toolbox.

These are very inconsistent in manufacture. I needed the M5 tap, and the two photos show how the threads look on the tap before any use, fresh from the package. They are inconsistently cut, and worse the edge toward the groove looks as though they cut the threads, then the groove messing up the threads. Definitely returning them. Some of the larger taps looked usable if not good quality, but the M5 (the only one I really needed) is useless.
