TERRIFIC PILLOW!!!!!!!!!
I have used this pillow for years because it was recommended to me by an orthopedist because of a neck and shoulder problem. It is so great because it supports my head and neck while I am sleeping and I carry the full size pillow in my suitcase where ever Itravel which is to a great many places even if it only for one night or for 3 weeks---I won't use any other pillow. I buy a new one every year and it takes about a week to 10 days to break it in to my satisfaction---I am very particular and have arthritis in my neck and upper back as so many of us do after years of working at desks or computers and this gives me a wonderful nights sleep!!!!!

Beware! It hurts neck!
It is the most uncomfortable pillow I have ever purchased. The neck portion of the pillow is too firm. It is way overpriced.I made a big mistake by buying from a non-prime vendor to save a few bucks. The return policy makes returning prohibitive. 15% so-called re-stocking fee and the shipping cost is a whopping 43% of its price, and I was returning an unopened new pillow!I opened it after realizing how much it would have costed me to return. Now I am keeping this piece of junk with even more regret.I bought another different model different material pillow at a much lower price. It is very comfortable. Gave it 5 stars.

Great pillow
Used my first one 15 years, just bought another one, well made and fixed my neck issues.

Not what it used to be.
I’ve been sleeping on a wal pil-o for right at 9 years now (either 9 or 10, can’t remember which year I got it). And it’s been the best thing for my neck. Memory foam pillows are too hot for my face and inevitably feel like constant pressure on the base of my skull. The wal pil-o has the firm support I need just under my neck, while giving soft comfort to my head, while remaining breathable.Since it’s been a well used pillow for nigh on a decade now, its firmness is fading & time to be replaced.I’ve tried 4 other “cervical support” pillows that are supposed to help with neck pain. At first they’re wonderful, and the memory foam isn’t as hot as I remember. But after about a week the neck pain builds and builds, and the pressure on my skull increases and I wake up throughout the night, tossing and turning. I want to cry during the day because my neck hurts so bad. I get headaches and I’m cranky, and it all comes back to the pillow! So I bring back my sad old wal pil-o and instantly my neck doesn’t hurt. But I’m having to build up the support by putting towels in my pillowcase (folded flat to just raise it a bit). So I was desperate for a new pillow.I bought this wal pil-o, assuming it was the same as what I had before. But it’s just not. It’s so much thicker than my previous one. And I know, it’s brand new, the other is years old, and worn out. But it’s like 2 inches thicker. It’s just too much. It’s painful when I sleep on it while lying on my back, it’s such an uncomfortable position. It’s not bad if I’m on my side, but I usually start out on my back and then move to the side, or stay on my back if comfortable. Sometimes I also sleep on my stomach, which was out of the question with this new wal pil-o. I’ve been trying it every night for about 3 weeks now & I just can’t take it anymore. I’m back to the neck & shoulder pain I had when using those memory foam cervical pillows. And this one was so much more expensive! It pains me to say it, but I’m going to have to return this. It’s just not working out. I feel like I need to run over it with the car a couple of times to help smoosh it down. And I’ve seriously considered trying that, with some cardboard on top and bottom of it, but don’t want to damage it if I’m still going to return it.I’ve read reviews about the junior size being better and what people are used to. So I ordered that from Walmart a few days ago, only to be notified today that they’re out of stock. Sigh. So back to my old pillow until I can find the junior version somewhere else.

Changed but it is good
I’ve used this pillow for 35 years . Only one that gave me the right support. I’m so disappointed in the change of the making. Why do they do this when it works the way it was so well. I really hope they bring the old back.Ok, they put this piled up filling in the middle where your head should fit down in a bit. I took a couple layers off that. Now, it is perfect. I slept great snd it’s also perfect for side sleeping. Great support for neck and shoulders. So you might want to removed some of the center thickness.

You’ll get the best night sleep ever.
This is a great pillow. 30 years ago I had terrible headaches. Then I found walpilo and have used it every night since it helps keep your neck in the proper position all night. This is not like a memory foam pillow that goes flat from body heat. It doesn’t last forever. I get a new one every two years other people have it a lot longer.

Changed a lot
When I first started purchasing these pillows they were $20. and a very good buy. The pillow was firm and the soft side was very well packed. The first one I purchased lasted 2 years and after that one they lasted 6 months to a year. As their price started to climb I decided on a substitute made by Battlecreek and no longer seen The Wal-Pil-O in my area. The Battlecreek discontinued theirs, the stores ran out of their stock and since I need this type of pillow I decided to order this one. A decision I regret. The pillow is hardly padded on the soft side which causes the hard side to sink. I can not sleep on it at all and of course it is not returnable. Totally wasted $65. I had seen pillows of this quality in stores but they were few aand far between. I strongly suggest that you only purchase one of these if you can get it in a store where you can examine it. If the soft side isn't well padded, don't bother.
