Shea Moisture 100 Percent Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Styling Gel for Unisex, 8 Ounce (Packaging may vary)

This is the only gel I will use on my hair. It smells nice (light, mainly coconut-y), makes a nice gel cast on curls, refreshes perfectly for second day curls when spritzed with water and scrunched. If the cast is scrunched off, it feels like there is no product in your hair--no stickiness, no stiffness, no tangles. It does flake a bit if I use too much or get it too built up next to the scalp. The scent doesn't last long but doesn't create a dirty hair smell after it wears off. It goes a long way for me (short hair but very thick) and a tube will usually last me about 2-3 months, but I don't apply it every day, only after washing. It has granola-friendly ingredients and is seriously the best product for curls.

I love this gel. It has a soft hold and because it contains coconut oil, it is safe for daily use. I use it on top of a leave-in and style cream for twist outs and to smooth my edges. My twist outs last at least 7 days with little to no frizz. This has been my go-to gel for well over a year and I don’t want to replace it even though it’s hard to find in stores. My only disappointment was even though the gel appeared to be sealed when I opened the envelope, it had somehow leaked through the packaging and was all over the container and inside of the envelope. I was very sad to see some of my money wasted but I was happy to be able to salvage the rest.

I love this product as it seems to curl every strand of my hair. A little goes a long way for me as I have short hair but, most importantly, my hair feels hydrated, it gives sheen, it’s light weight, has a great scent, and all that’s needed to reactivate my curls is to dampen my hair. I have other curling gels but they leave residues in my hair. This is really a great product and my go to.

I really like this hair gel. It supports my straight styles. I put it on wet hair, then dry. It does not flake or get to spiky. Seems to actually improve the texture of my hair, as does all the Shea Moisture products. I have fine, brown hair.

I use this gel on my three year olds hair. It’s the best for small children I’ve been using it on him since he has before he turned 2. It uses natural products, there’s no heavy chemicals, it smells light and fresh, and it dries soft with natural feeling with light hold, no stickiness, perfect for keeping the hair styled and out of his face. I highly recommend less for children’s hair!!

I dunno why I can't find this in the stores anymore, maybe it's my area. But this is my favorite styling gel because it does not dry my hair out adds shine and just the right amount of humidy protection for my needs. I have Caucasian blonde hair that's naturally straight and will style easily but I live in the south where it's insanely humid in the warm months, this lets me keep the style I left the house with.

I have to use leave in conditioner mixed with this hair gel to make it a little less crunchy (which I don't mind), but it sure is drying. I'm not sure if I'll continue using it. The scent is very sweet and strong.

I love this stuff. Holds stubborn hair for perfect styling and keeps your hair healthy. If it dries a little stiff, just run your brush, comb or hand through it a few times and it softens right up while maintaining styling. Love it and the whole Shea Moisture product line.

I first came across this in the states and I bought it all the time while I was away. I returned to the UK and I found it in a few shops then suddenly it seemed to be discontinued everywhere. I cannot buy it as regularly now because I find it rather expensive to buy online as it seems to ship from the states. But I do love the product, I am very fussy about what I like on my hair. I like lightweight so that I can get volume and lift as well as nourished curls and this product is fab!!

I have naturally curly hair and have tried many different types of styling products. I have tried to find alternatives to this gel, but I always come back to it. This gel is the only thing that holds my hair well and makes it look great.

Me encanta esta línea de Shea Moisture. Uso el shampoo y el acondicionador sin embargo el gel no me gusto demasiado. Siento que deja mi cabello un poco seco. En general esta bien porque elimina el frizz.
