The reviews I've read about the leather smell seem out of proportion. Maybe mine isn't as bad as some, but it smells like any piece of new leather item which will go away with time for sure (I don't notice it all unless I'm burying my nose in it trying to find the smell). The color of the bag I got is MUCH lighter than in the picture (more of a light orange tan), but again it's leather and pieces stain different. Nothing about this bag has surprised me in a negative way. To be honest, for the price, the stitching is better than expected and all the buttons, zippers, and seams are incredibly solid. The inner lining is durable enough for me to throw my odds and ins into for weekend trips. Also the bag is a good size for the price. I'll probably be buying the backpack also for overnight camping trips.

Overall a great bag. It has a mild leathering smell when first arriving, but put some balls of newspaper in it and it gets rid of it in a day or so. It looks great and is large enough to pack a weeks worth of clothing.

I love the texture and the color. But both of these are VERY overshadowed by the horrifying smell. I've had it for 2 months and I've tried everything but it won't let up. It will smell up an entire house even after being drenched in leather cleaner and cologne. Was this made in urine and feces? If anyone finds a way to get this odor out please let me know. I don't understand how this is such a big issue but the seller doesn't acknowledge it. Must not have a nose. It's unusable.

For the price this is a nice bag. It is smaller than I expected, but it will be used as a carry-on for 2-3 day business trips. (Will update everyone on the durability of it once I have taken a couple of trips) I have a method of packing clothes so they should all fit (3 pairs of dress slacks, 3 dress shoes, socks/underwear, 1 pair of jeans and a couple of causal shirts). The two side compartments are good for toiletries and an extra pair of shoes. Overall I am happy with the bag and hope it holds up to my travels.

I was searching for a bag to use as a personal item that is big enough for a weekend that will fit under the airplane seat. This bag fits the bill! I am very happy with my purchase and the excellent quality and workmanship of the bag. Thank you!

Great bag it looks so cool. Yes quite large and heavy when you fill it up. Disregard what people say about the small, i literally just left it to sit on my floor after i got it and it went away overnight.However!! I emailed you about this but i would kindly ask to put more holes in the strap. The way it is now hangs very low for a short person (im 170cm) and i cut new holes in it myself almost all the way up to the handle in order for it to sit comfy nearer to my hips rather than at my calf.Love the bags though i even bought another one for carry on purposes.

This Bag is BEAUTIFUL!...Giving it as a gift...immediately ordered 2 more for myself and my son! Stitching is perfect!The leather does have a strong 'new leather smell'...as some previous reviews have noted...but that is what real leather should smell like...when it was sealed with saddle soap...(I always seal anything leather, even shoes, with saddle soap or oil...then let it dry 2 days for each application...strong smell is gone...remember to do inside as well..I have leather bags and shoes 30 yrs old...saddle soap or leather sealer 3 coats....will keep them perfect for years ...still great and my kids use them...wonderful product...well done ! jeanie

The look of the bag deserves five stars and it seems to be pretty well put together. Some of the brass hardware seems a little thin but there's money left over to have all that replaced due to the low cost of the bag.I read the reviews about the smell so I was warned. The smell of my bag fortunately is not as rancid as some of the other reviewers are describing. Smells like boiling vegetable oil to me. But just like boiling vegetable oil it will smell throughout the house. No biggie I've got ways to get rid of the smell right? Well it hasn't been as easy as I thought. First I hung the bag up in the garage with a fan blowing on it. It twisted in the wind for two days with no noticeable difference so I soaked it inside and out with Fabreeze twice and it didn't help. I was going on a trip in a week so I dunked the entire bag in a 50/50 water/vinegar solution and put it in the dryer on low heat for 4 hours with towels and tennis balls which gave the bag a distressed look that was even cooler than before but did little for the smell so I hung it in the trees for 4 days. It still smelled and didn't make the trip. I then broke open two containers of baking soda in the bottom of a trash bag and put the bag inside and tied a knot and left it for three days. Then I hung it back in the garage with the fan again. Within an hour the entire 1200 square-foot garage smelled like the bag. Now it's back in the baking soda trash bag and I'll leave it there for about a week and then I'll hang it outside and hope the smell eventually goes away. If it does I will update this review. I love the bag and I hope I eventually get to use it. It's too bad they can't make the smell go away at the factory. If the smell ever goes away it will all be worth it for a bag as cool is this.

Very nice bag, real hide, great interior space, the only thing I didn't like is that it "stink". I want to know how to remove that odor, it's like an enamel smell.I still give it 5 stars

I bought this beautiful bag for my husband as he weekends! It smells of leather and is so smart. It’s not very big, but is ideal as a weekend bag as opposed to a holiday one. He is thrilled with it and does the job well. It also matches his work attaché case so, it’s perfect. It is sturdy and will last well I think.
