Pair of Adjustable Dumbbells

I read all the good reviews on this product and went ahead and purchased it and ended up just receiving one dumbbell instead of two. The description clearly states "pair". After this happened, I looked at the reviews more carefully and noticed several one star reviews for this product with the same problem as I have with receiving only one. Like some of these reviews, I am still wondering if there is a different definition for "pair" that I am not understanding? The first clue for me should have been that the product description on the website says a pair of 25 lbs weights, but the shipping weight that is part of this product description says "25 pounds", which would match a single dumbbell which is what I actually received.I have called Amazon and sent back the one I received and have been promised I will receive a pair this time. This was three weeks ago and apparently my replacement has been lost in transit somewhere. I have a strong suspicion that I will only receive a single dumbbell again when I do eventually receive the replacement but let's see. Definitely a one star rating at this point, only because I am not able to give any lower rating. The Amazon support person also mentioned he would change the website description to reflect total weight of 50 lbs but this did not happen. I love Amazon and use them heavily but this is definitely one product where they have failed and I hope it is corrected soon, both on the website and resolved with the seller.

If you bench with them, you may put them down on an angle at times, which spells death for these guys over time.They have tiny u-shaped pieces of metal that fit in between the weight discs, on the handles. those pieces will come off with a few weeks or months of use and abuse. When that happens, a weight may fall off it, breaking your toe.In fairness to Bayou, this set was used by at least 3 different people, probably 3 times a week, over a six month period. So it's probably going to be fine if you just don't put them down hard on an angle, ever. And don't abuse them much.review:The weight is off to one side when doing any increments with five (like 35, or 45), but that's easily overcome by holding the wide handles on one side or the other to offset the weight. The clicking mechanism was not bad either, it was useful for quick change-ups in the weight. I liked using them.Overall, I'm out the money for these because they failed and have to be thrown away. The risk is too great. So I'm really not happy with Bayou Fitness..

Really nice set. Allows for a variety of weights while not using that much space in my workout area. I would recommend these to anyone. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because the pin that adjust the weights sometime hangs and it is not always a smooth transition to change the weight. Pretty minor issue though.After 3 weeks they seem very durable and I can see using them for a long time.

Awesome. Great. Look good. All Metal. Super cool. Here is a fair review:Love them!!! This purchase is for two..., a pair. I have worked out with weights for over 20 years and was a trainer for 8 years. These weights are AWESOME. I have read many of the other reviews where some claim the weights are hard to adjust and that is just not true unless those customers are big babies. Yes, sometimes you have to wiggle the nob, but barely, so there is not an issue to adjust the weights..., my 95 lbs wifey does it all the time. And the bars are better than the Bowflex weights because these bars are ALL METAL and the Bowflex bars have rubber on them that can wear down and also prevent one from using straps. On these bars you can use straps! Great bars! Some complain that the weights are hard to remove from the holders. Again... babies. If you lift the bars straight up, then they come out easy. If you lift them at an angle, then it is harder..., so... duh..., lift them out straight like it supposed to be done. Lots of babies that probably hardly workout but maybe twice a year.., babies. I also bought the bench that can be used with it and it too is great. It can wiggle a little bit..., but nothing in a bad way..., just tighten the bolts extra tight on the bench and it is a great tiny space saving bench that can do a lot!!! Ask any questions and I will answer them!

The weights themselves I have yet to try because like many others before me Amazon tried to pass off a single weight as a pair of weights. I went round and round with customer service pointing out that they do in fact have single weights and if they would only send me a single weight I'd be happy enough because then I'd have the pair promised. Instead they wanted to give me half the cost of the pair back and have me buy a single weight at the going rate, which happens to be $15 more than they are as a pair. I think not! SO now I have reordered and have a written confirmation that I will get the pair this time. If I actually get a pair I'll consider raising my rating.

I was worried from previous reviews that only one weight would come when they shipped it. They both came in a fast shipment so I was pleased. The weights are terrific! No more am I annoyed with changing dumbell weights manually which would waste time. If you do any program like the P90x these are the perfect weights. They seem durable and I expect them to last a long time. I didn't need giant weights like the bowflex ones. These 25lb ones are perfect for me (5'9 155lbs). This is the best price and best weights!

This is supposed to be a pair of dumbells. Amazon sent one. It says on the box this is box 1 of 2 do not separate. I don't know what they did with the other one. I returned it for what was supposed to be a new PAIR, but once again they sent a single dumbell. I just contacted them for another return label, this time for my money back! Just go buy these at a fitness store if you want them. They look like they would be nice and easy to use.

This is a amazing set of dumbbells for the price. i received them today and i ordered them on the 16 so the shipping was fast and i tried them out and there a major success im speechless because of the price and the comparability of the product
