Very elegant, long-lasting, deep fragrance. Masculine but gentle
Love it - has become my favorite cologne now. Who knew (at least I didn't) the British made such great perfumes (one usually hears of French or Italian, or some American and Japanese perfumes). Anyway, very elegant, complex, long-lasting, deep fragrance, similar to the quality of great wines or coffees.Masculine but gentle - not macho as in aggressive, dominant, pushy, etc. Think of the elegant gentlemen in Downton Abbey, Elizabeth, or Victoria TV shows, and one can imagine them wearing this perfume. Quite different from the mainstream, usual perfumes. While this definitely reminds one of and creates the aura of suit-and-tie wearing gentlemen, I have experimented with it while wearing casual tee-shirts and shorts or pants and my elegance index has gone up to that of the aforesaid gentlemen. Bottom line - it is elegant, with (or without !!!) any type of clothing.Seems genuine as it is similar to the sampler I got before (of the Penhaligon's 10-sampler set available on Amazon, this one is my favorite, others are good too except Opus 1870 seemed too one-notey and light, and Endymion, Blenheim Bouquet, and Quercus are nice too but not great - most, except Sartorial, are light and don't last very long).

Yeah, this is real.
This is the real deal- not an imitation and the best price I have found anywhere. I was hesitant to share that as I want to hoard a few more before they're gone.As for the fragrance, Saratorial is outstanding, one of the few Penhalogon's fragrances that DOES NOT turn into a huge bouquet of roses within 20 minutes and follow me around all day like a wreath -roses, roses, roses!!It's layered and complex and brooding and dark and goes through several evolutions during the course of the day but never loses its character. Despite the heavy tone it always feels surprising fresh and clean. Set aside the whole bespoke tailor imagery, this is a solid classic masculine fragrance that exudes class and style. If this were produced 40 years ago it would have been considered a masterpiece. It is not a bright aquatic, non descript fragrance, or over the top bomb of body spray, it's for a more mature wearer (I'm 43) and wreaks of refinement. This is for jacket and tie, a bit too indoors for polo shirt and shorts. The only Penhalogin's that works for me, and I've tried a few.

Not quite enough outstanding or remarkable in any shape or form, in SCENT or STRENGTH
Did not, NOT live up to the hype for me.Okay, yes, certainly old barbershoppy, nothing outstanding or remarkable in any shape or form, and really in my opinion NOT worthy of price and the rest of hype, really and sincerely.UPDATE: Wow, I was so harsh on this. I do like it better now. Bumped it up to four stars. But this longevity is still short short. Now I would say it is a good old timey sent. Wife says bit not enough musky, which to me says too straight and old-time barber shop.Interesting and nostalgic for sure is what this scent is. I'd love to use it more often. However NOT worth the high price.Scent 4/10Projection 1/10Sillage 2/10Longevity 3/10

Brut impostor and the women hate
Terrible chemically smell. Don't believe the hype on this one. I have over 100 colognes and this is the worst. You are better off buying Brut, better quality and cheaper. The women don't like this one. I gets lots of compliments on my other stuff but in my office the ladies don't care for this, so its a loser.

Five Stars
This was my first Penhaligon cologne purchase. I have since tried 2 others. No 33 is really good but I cannot say the same for Blenheim Bouquet. Not impressed and come highly rated. Actually, it stunk to me. If I had to make one cologne purchase from this brand it would be Sartorial. The very first week I wore this to work I had two women pass by my office and peek in and ask me what cologne I was wearing. This stuff is good. It has a great smell and I plan on buying more in the near future. If you are on the fence don't be. Just buy it. you won't regret it.

CLASSIC
This is great, Sophisticated, Masculine classic fougere fragrance & was apparently launched by the house of Penhaligon's sometime in the autumn of 2010. I simply love the fragrance because its different from all the regular fragrances we get of the counter.. The projection & longevity is very good. I love the bottle with the tiny bow & I received an absolute authentic product from the seller Parfum1.

Great stuff! Better than anticipated!
This smells like Brut in a good way. If Brut was a Smart car, Sartorial would be a Rolls Royce. I wasn't sure I was going to like this cologne when I first smelled after sprayed it on. It reminded of Brut cologne but in a much more refined way. Really nice when worn. Great staying power. Very nice indeed.
