Delightful
This is a book about a snail who who travels the world with a whale. It is beautifully illustrated, and I love, love, love the way the story is written. The words have a rhythm without being actual rhymes, and the illustrations are rich in detail which you can point out to your child. You will get a glimpse of the world as seen from the sea, its ships, its beaches and sunshine, its icebergs and penguins, and its storms. Unlike many other children's books, the concepts and places shown make sense to Indian children too. Children get to help the whale in the end, so maybe this will appeal to an older child too.

Great book and a great story
Ordered a board book, good quality , colorful and vivid paintings. The book tells a cute story in a ryhmed form of a snail having a big dream to roam the world and how with his imagination and a big friend , he is able to go places. The book uses some big words which a 6yr old cant read by herself/himself. But the paintings are colorful and vivid. I loved it and Hopefully , in this mobile age , will spark some imagination in kids as well.

Engaging storyline, attractive artwork in a sturdy board book
My son is a fan of Room on the Broom and Gruffalo. I picked this from the same author for his next book and it has been a lot of fun for him. The storyline is engaging, the artwork is very attractive and the board quality is sturdy enough for a 6 year old. Just be aware that the book is available in board and paperback editions. The other books I bought from the same author were paperback editions which were larger in size (about A4) whereas this board book is smaller (B5?). But the board sheets are tear proof which make up for the smaller size. If you want a lighter and bigger size, go for the paperback instead.
