The tin first off, is so adorable. It is a really nice material with a soft finish and the colours are bright and pretty. The polka dot design with two birds is really cute.The items inside are in great quality and there is more or less everything that you need.They are no tacking pins and for me there wasn't any black cotton, though the colours you get may be random. I got four small rolls of thread which was great but if you want this to last you'll probably need to buy your own threads because the quantity in this may not be sufficient. But it is a mini sewing kit so what can you expect.It is a little bit more expensive than the others that I looked at but it is so much better in every way.

This item was smaller than expected, although the price should have given that away. All your sewing needs are packaged into the tin except there was no black thread! Not bad for a starter kit, i.e. students.

This is a small handy sewing kit with the essential needles and threads, I keep this one in the office for emergencies (to fix loose buttons and hems). The container keeps it all nice and neat.

this is a present for my daughter who is currently at uni, its the perfect size to fit in her bag or to just sit on her desk, as she loves vintage, this was a lovely gift and practical all at the same time. just love it.

I bought this as a gift for a young lady to take to university. Lovely modern tin and just the right amount of items.
