Vornado MVH Space Heater (2026), Black, 3 Heat Settings, Auto Shut-Off

I’ve bought several of these over the years and they’re fantastic because they give you three different heat outputs and they’re the quietest heaters that I’ve found. Great value for the money.

My old gas wall heater was making me sick and the smell was awful. Heating Technician said it's accumulation in pipes and areas not cleanable. We turned it off, my neighbor had this Vornado so I bought one. I have to be careful not to use many electric appliances at the same time, or use it for too long, bc old cruddy wiring landlord refuses to replace. But it works pretty well and I'm not sick from gas heater anymore. It's kind of expensive so I hope it lasts.

I love this heater and have bought several. You can set the temperature to keep room warm in the winter.

Pretty expensive for a 1500W max heat setting. It warms a small space, but is not - as quoted in the description - “Perfect ... for bedroom, living room, office, or any indoor space that needs consistent comfort,” Other 1500W room heaters cost half the price. What changes with the Hi-Med-Lo heat settings is the wattage to the coil, while the fan stays at the same speed. Thus, it does not push warm air farther or stronger by changing from low to med to hi, but gives off more intense heat at the same flow rate. That's the theory of Vornado's proprietary vortex heat. False advertising and stretching the truth to boost sales is one of my pet peeves. And although this kept a single bedroom warm during SW Florida’s 2 week cold snap, I’m giving it ONE star, and will be sending it back within the return window, despite that it worked well for that small room, the "turn-off-when-tilted" feature is good, and my dogs liked laying in front of it. Google results for "Is Vornado made in *****?" all say it is an American company. This one was made in Vietnam. Other models of theirs are made in China. (Yes, I verified that.) I've used all sorts of Vornado fans for years with no problems. But I expect the company to be more forthright (ie less concealing) about its manufacturing and quality control. Why do you think there are so many reviews citing fast coil burnout and limited use time?

Very warm and fast to heat up.

This was recommended by my neighbor. I purchased this as it was a very COLD winter for 2025-2026. I live in an one bedroom and had to use it for the room that I was in. It great and fast for heating but it did not heat up my whole apartment. It's very quiet and was great when I was using it either in my kitchen or bedroom.

34 degrees outside is not that cold for my region. I have been running it on high all morning and my living room is barely warm. So I'm not that impressed. I can't imagine it doing well when it hits <10 degrees. I can hold my hand on the front for as long as I want and never have to remove it. :/ It does seem well made. Maybe it works better in a confined tiny bedroom. Update. Terrible. I’m returning it. I tried to like it but $75 is WAY too much for this.

We fulltime in a 28’ Airstream and was looking for a heater to handle from about 45°F to freezing. The temps below the effectiveness of our heat pump and above where we really need to use the furnace to keep the pipes and tanks from freezing. We don’t have a lot of space, this little guy fits the bill. There are three heat settings with no documented info on each. Luckily we have a Victron system and can track AC useage. The low (1) setting is 750W The medium (2) setting is 1250W The high (3) setting is 1500W With an outside temp of about 40-45° we were able to bring our inside rig temp from about 60° to 70° in about 30 minutes on low and medium settings. The high setting gets you warmer faster. I’d read the documents and comments previously and knew to place the heater in an area with plenty of room in front and behind it. This allows the unit to circulate the air around your room (or our trailer) easily. We could not get over how consistent the warm temps were, the fan and heater runs continuously, providing a warm stable temp for its duration. Conversely, our heat pump or furnace provide warm/hot air for a relatively short period of time, then cuts off until the inside temp cools down, rinse repeat. There was very little smell out of the box. I plugged it in outside and ran it for a few minutes on high, medium, then low and did have that “new smell”. Inside, we didn’t notice any adverse smells and put it to use immediately. If there is any nit, it would be I wish the power cord were about 1’ longer. My wife doesn’t like the handle as you have to grab the front of the top and the little hand grip to lift it.
