Great mini pen which of course requires a mini refill. Rubber tip works great and slides on phone screen with no problem; and as a bonus you can replace it (good job Zebra for allowing the customer to replace the tip). I read another review where they mention you could replace the rubber tip with another product so I did a search for other mesh fiber tips and I found a pack that works on this pen. If you are interested search Amazon for "Mesh Fiber Stylus Pen Replacement Tips (20 Pcs) for Capacitive Touch Screen, High Sensitivity, Soft, No Scratch, Slow wear, Smartphone,Tablet Stylus Fibre Nibs" sold by Guugei; because these will screw onto the end of these pens. I am sure there are other replacement tips that will also work; but I can verify the tips I mentioned do actually work. I love the grip on these pens and that the size is perfect either in compact or full size mode when writing. Ink flow is great and the color looks as it does in the product pictures. I think the value for the money is spot on and the durability is also inline with what I have experienced from Zebra pens before. Recommend and would buy again.

Zebra makes fine writing implements. Their sturdy F-701 has been a trusted everyday carry for the longest. As with it and other models from the manufacturer we have around home and office, this telescoping pen serves its niche well. It's a comfortable, dependable minimalist writing solution and a recommended addition to pocket or purse.

...they die without warning! I’ve been carrying these pens in my pocket for years. “Does anyone have a pen?” Out comes my telescoping James Bond pen! I ALWAYS have a pen! How many men can say that? And they don’t jab me in the leg like a full size pen would in my pants pocket. They write as well as any other ballpoint pen. The only negative is that most pens give you warning before running out — the ink misses a bit. Not these pens. Boom! You’re out of ink. And the ink cartridge is metal, so you can’t see that it’s running out of ink like cheaper pens. I used to carry the space pen/astronaut pen, but these are a whole lot more economical and easier to find, and work almost as well. 15 years ago, I bought a pocket size gel pen. It wrote beauuuuutifully, but it only lasted 1/4 the amount of time and cost $25 back then! Despite the Zebras minor shortcomings, I highly recommend these pens. Makes a great gift for the man who has everything... but a pen on him.

Love this pen. Have ordered bunch because I keep leaving it at work and I’m sure someone walks off with it lol. I love how it retracts. Great to slide into a small pocket. Will keep ordering!

great idea, pen is better than a Cross, but it doesn't stay closed in the pocket

Zebra mini pens just extend smoothly to regular pen length and I don't have to keep track of the cap or worry about sharp (albeit plastic) exposed edges like some other mini pens. the diameter also doesn't taper like some telescoping mini pens. They also fit with standard 68mm (70mm with cap) x 0.1in x 0.1in ink refills, so I ended up replacing ink refills with blue and black ones which I already had for other mini pens. Originally both blue and grey pens come with black inks, but they are easy to replace. The shape, colors, grip texture, and pocket clip all look nice. The stylus also works well with both smartphone and ebook reader, which was a major plus. For the price, it's a bargain to get a set with two pens.

Best freakin’ pen ever!

Good and convieniant to use, it's smooth for writing and small enough for my purse. It's still there with me. I hope the refill would be bigger.
