how does this filter compare to wix and fram?

This is a Purolator Plus equivalent with silicone anti drain back valve. Wix 51372 is pretty much bullet proof at $6. As others have mentioned. check out the oil filter study by BobtheOilGuy. Haven't gone near a Fram in 15 years.

What is the recommended service interval for this oil filter, 5-6,000 miles with synthetic oil like Mobil 1?

Sorry to inform you guys but Wix is the Manufacture for Ford Filters. Yes the 820s filter is made by Wix. Also Full Synthetic your oil change can be 10,000 miles with filter change,this takes in Mobile 1 ,Ford Ect!

You can buy this filter at most auto parts stores for $5, what's the reason for it being $29 on here?.....

I called my local Auto Zone and Advance Auto Parts, they wanted nearly $10 for an FL820s. Walmart never seems to have it. This filter is $5.00 today, 9/24/19 on Amazon. The reason I get it here is that I have a problem with my keg, and walking across a Walmart lot, to run around the store and back is too much for my leg. I just have it delivered to my front door.
