The cover for the case is a little to hard to take off. Overall the stone is fine quality .

Good sharpening stone for everyday use
Needed a sharpening stone for my disaster preparedness kit. Wanted a traditional hone. This fits the bill since it comes with a quality case which allows it to be held and used while keeping fingertips safe. The stone itself is a medium grit and suitable for most sharpening tasks. Do not expect a scalpel edge. I would also suggest lubricating the stone with honing oil or other light oil to extend the life of the stone. Good value for the money.
