Soap is what damages the machines! Not the materials used to build the machines.
This spider is the exact part needed. do the bearings and seal while it's apart. Use pod soap to prevent the destruction of the bracket. I've replaced bearings on these machines for years and the bracket is in perfect condition due to the limited soap used with pods. Liquid soap should be metered in the cap that comes with the bottle and only 1/4 inch in the cap. machines where i see people completely fill the cap (i ask ppl to do this so i can see their usage) have cracked/broken spider brackets.if you need more soap then be sure to choose extra rinse to remove the extra soap from the machine. The soap people and the machine makers do not communicate this detail. Also reduced soap will stop the sulfur odor in the machine and mold growth on the door boot/seal (sulfur and phosphorus cause this).Never leave the machine door open. The drain pump will not turn on with the door open so your home will be flooded in the event of an inlet valve malfunction (yes the computer watches for problems while it sits there turned off).I hope this helps clear away some of the 'gossip' about brackets being bad out of the box and manufacturers producing faulty products.

Perfect fit for my LG front loader
Very nice replacement for the OEM installed spider. There is no such thing as an easy to install spider on these washers. Anyone that tells you that is fully lying to you. It’s a miserable job, but worth the effort to have my washer working perfectly again versus another nearly $2,000 for a new washer. The removal process is the tough part…I had to use a grinder to cut off all the nuts holding the spider to the drum. It’s all the corrosion and washer gunk which builds up and makes removal almost impossible. With the old one out, this was breeze to install and had worked perfectly.Make sure to replace your bearings and seals. I’d suggest new drum shocks as well while you’re in there. Don’t buy aftermarket shocks…the WILL FAIL!! I’ve tried. Buy OEM and you’re golden. For guides to the repair, just Google it. There’s a few great ones and even the bad ones are pretty good.

Manufacturer should have Recalled this Machine -Time Consuming Repair but Was worth it
OK, you need to be somewhat mechanically inclined if you decide to take on this Repair Job. I must say that this should have been a Manufacturers's recall as every website and or Video that I pulled up on my Model Washing machine had this Same issue. The Stainless Steel and Aluminum alloys that the Manufacturer used when Making this Spider are turning the Aluminum parts of this Spider into a Natural Anode. The Aluminum when exposed to Water Corrodes and the Part Fails every time. Well, This is a Washing MAchine with Electricity and Water creates the Perfect Environment for Corroding the Aluminum.I would like to Give the Designer of this particular LG Washer a Spanking for Designing this part with these alloys touching each other. It was doomed to fail from the Start and the Manufacturer should have known better but does not want to do a Recall as it would cost them millions. SO use End users get stuck holding the Bag for a Failed Manufacturers/Designers Defect.

Inner tub comes with spider and bolts too
Just an FYI to all who are attempting to replace this spider support and/or bearings. I had the same smoking, banging issue with my LG front loader and ordered all the replacement parts. When it came time to replacing the spider and bolts, 3 of them were unable to be removed due to the threads being stripped inside. After a bit of research, I found that the replacement inner tub actually comes with the spider support attached and bolted on! Since the bearings on my washer were in good shape, I just replaced the inner tub assembly and now all is well. It is a slightly more $ to do it this way, but I had no choice.

Replace this when you replace your bearings. The grooves in this get nasty.
The grooves in this, front and back, collect lint and fabric softener muck. It got pretty nasty back there after a dozen years. I had replaced the bearings once before. The old spider arm was stuck in the bearings. A rubber mallet or a hammer with a piece of wood wasn't working. I had to hammer it out. That messed up the splines so I had to file away the messed up part before reassembling the motor. This time I replaced the bearings and the spider. I was able to clean it out nicely and reinstallation was easy.Make this part of your bearing replacement job. Take your time to really clean the drum once the old spider is off. Wash rags as your first load with bleach.

OEM Quality. OEM fit!!! quick ship
This is exactly like the one that came out right down to the numbersBecause the support is made light in weight, I felt it couldn't hurt to protect it some with primer and top coat. Corrosion is its enemy in this environment. You can use whatever you want for your top coat, Just be sure the primer will adhere to aluminum. You need a proper etching primer for this task. my recommendations on bearings and seals were deemed outside Amazons standards and was rejected which is too bad because it is my trade and I know what works and what the failure points are. but Just to add get quality bearings and seals for this item if you want it to last. Always replace the seal at least.

I cannot judge this at the moment.
I purchased this as a backup for when/if the one in my washer fails. I am told that these parts are becoming scarce. Too bad the star selection can't represent this situation.I cannot judge this at the moment.

Worked perfectly
New part fell right into place. Old one disintegrated.A few hours to dismantle and reassemble. YouTube helped.Saved me at least $400 on repair. If you have the tools and time, do it.

Worth the effort if you can do it yourself.
Major job to replace but my original one had two broken arms and am surprised it didn’t blow apart. Still seems to have a bit of a wobble to the tub but much cheaper than a new machine. Also replaced bearings and seals while it was apart.

OEM part for LG washer
OEM part for LG washer. Perfect fit. Part was shipped from the US. It took less time to receive the part from the US than the LG parts depot in Toronto.

As expected
Spinner support fit my washer. Was delivered without damage. Drum spun true after install. Make sure you clean all the debris off the drum at mounting locations before installing. Use blue loctite on mounting bolts
