Kindle app doesn't work due to older android version
11 year old daughter was super excited about this mp3 player. Played music as expected but the older android software (that you apparently cannot update) doesn't support the newest Kindle app. The kindle app came pre-installed on the device so you would expect it to work. So I ended up returning it and getting a different mp3 player with a newer software version to support the Kindle app.

Functional but slow
The unit meets our functional requirements with blue tooth and wired headphones, but it is very slow booting up and navigating. Sorry but cheap full blown cell phones aren't much more and they have both current software, more storage, and faster processors. This might be returned.

Would look elsewhere if buying it for using 3rd party apps
Pretty useless out of the box for my purposes (a cheap device for kids to listen to music). Pre-installed 3rd party apps didn’t reliably work, which is a problem, since you can’t easily download apps nor update pre-existing ones (updates in settings is for the OS, not the apps). Spotify and Spotify Kids were outdated, and so had authentication problems preventing successful login (could log-in via Chrome, which lags and is inconvenient). Reached out to customer support, who asked that I pay $50 for a 30 minute phone call to address the issue, though they acknowledged that the pre-installed software it arrived with was out of date.

Stopped working after handful of uses
Not worth your money to buy. Bought for my kid and she was only able to use it a handful of times. It will turn on, but when you go click on an app it restarts and you can’t get anywhere on it. Tried factory reset and it won’t do anything.

Suddenly stopped working
My granddaughter loved it. Perfect size and user friendly. Stopped working after 10 months. Of course I didn't purchase extended warranty. I will on the next one.

Bought for kids 8 and 10
I don't want to buy my kids phones but decided on these to help them not feel left out with their peers. They listen to music and have I don't have to worry about the internet dangers.

Apps dont work
Ended up returning. You can't download apps. You must use what's on there. Spotify would not log in no matter what I tried. Its VERY slow when tapping buttons. It did feel nice and sturdy and charged fast. But didnt do what I needed it to.
