Are these containers air-tight?

They appear air-tight. When I close the lid, the top pops out a bit, so it looks like compressed air is pushing on the top.I haven't had any issues with spoilage in these over other containers.

Are there any containers that are 4 inches wide and less than or equal to 1.5 inches tall?

There are several containers 4 inches wide with depths of 2 and 4 inches. And other that are wider and deeper but none less than 2 inches deep with a width of 4 inches.

1. where are these containers made? 2. what material are the lids made of, besides being BPA free?

All containers are MADE IN USA! I have two sets of them and they work very well, and stack nice to save space. All pieces are BPA free plastic and they even claim to take 425 degrees in the oven. I'll take their word on that one. Mark
