SKYHawk Linen Fine Grain Pre Stretched Canvas 12"x12"

This is a deep edge canvas. Good grain. Black primed. Stretched on wood, stretching job is good. Id say this is comparable to "fine art" canvases. It doesn't have slots for pegs for taut stretching.

I bought 5 of SkyHawk canvas from amazon. Out of which only two were fine. One was moist and had slight fungus on the frame. Two of the canvases didn’t even have straight frame. The wooden frames were curved and were bulging out wards. Not satisfied.

Cannot sell this to anyone who's paying money for artwork. stretchers are ordinary construction wood and totally warped. Canvas is not linen. The threads burnt similar to a cotton canvas one. True linen doesn't burn. This is just a brown cloth and nothing more. Useful only as studies (not to be sold to anyone) for bigger paintings.

It's a nice canvas. Packaging was good and it arrived on time. At first, when I opened there was a dent on one side which probably could have happened because of transportation. So, for a moment I thought I should return it. But instead, I primed the canvas and to see, the dent got straightened and the canvas looked much better. I then painted with acrylics and now it's perfect for my living room wall. I am happy with my purchase. Quality good and price wise affordable too. It's a good buy for artists, especially for beginners like me.

Is surely is fine grain. No doubt. Beautiful canvas quality. However, the plastic from the packaging was torn at many places. It didn’t matter at the backside, but front panel was DIRTY where it was torn. Also the finishing is not great. Just randomly stapled at the back.

Delivered on time, the quality of the product is good and served its purpose very well. I was also happy with the customer service that checked if everything was in order.

The quality of the canvas cloth was good rather better than many at the price point but the defect I spotted was in the quality of black primer. It is sensitive and thus cannot handle much wash of paints. Delivery packaging was safe for the product, this time, made me happy.

Best fine grain linen canvas. But I am not sure how many layers of gesso they provide on it.. So to be on the safer side i apply 2 coats of gesso myself
