Great for a 2nd line of defense.
This is identical to K9 Advantix II. This product works great for my dog, but then again my dog's skin doesn't have severe reactions to permethrin. Permethrin is extremely deadly when used incorrectly. For instance undiluted permethrin spray used on goats with direct skin contact will send a goat into nervous system failure within 2-4 minutes. They loose control over their bladder. Their back legs shutdown. The goat will continuously stretch out long and it's legs get wobbly and their steps get very uncoordinated. If the permethrin isn't removed from the goat's body with soap that has sulfates in it, in order to break down the molecule structure compounds of the permethrin, then the goat will go into seizures and die. If permethrin can do all of that to a goat, just imagine what it can do to your dog. If permethrin is used properly and dosed correctly it has proven to be very safe and effective, compared to many pesticides used on livestock and pets. Please, when testing any pesticide product on your pet, only test a small penny size area to start. Just like you don't slather your face in a new unknown facial cleanser or cream due to possible skin reactions, you don't go pouring pesticide products on your dog's skin if they have never been introduced to the product prior before. Common sense goes a long way. Personally, this product works wonders for my English Mastiff. This isn't a fix all product though. If your dog already has fleas or ticks they need removed with a few baths soaked in Dawn dish liquid original. This product will NOT remove or kill off a current infestation. I know what the product claims, but as a goat farmer who has actually worked with undiluted permethrin; which is the active ingredient in this product, there isn't nearly enough permethrin in this product to kill off a full blown tick of flea infestation. This product is a good deterrent and keeps pests from wanting to bite and start a infestation. If you apply this to your dog and get a odd reaction within the first 5 minutes, then you should react VERY quickly. Use a soap with sulfates in it, such as Dawn Dish liquid original. Use cold water also to stop the skin pours from opening up and enlarging, which would allow more of the pesticide residue into the blood stream. Scrub and wash the affected skin area, vigorously. Do not toss water on or dunk the affected area. By not scrubbing the pesticide residue away from the skin and minimizing the effect of it soaking in deeper past the dermal layer, you're only wasting precious time. Scrub, scrub, scrub. I've used permethrin for a long time as a goat farmer. Around and in my barns. In our milking area and on our milking stands. In chicken coops and duck houses. In our buck barn and around common areas in the pasture. Also use it in our basement to keep out hundreds of pests. This product is a good product, but never let your guard down. Always be looking for ticks, fleas, mites, lice, etc. Do your best to minimize exposure, period. This product is for 2nd line of defense. This product is NOT a cure all fix all, 1st line of defense kinda product. But then again neither are the real expensive Rx script chewable tablets either. Been there, done that.

Our go-to flea treatment
This is honestly the flea treatment I keep coming back to. Iโve bought this brand multiple times for my dogs, and Iโve also used the cat version for my cats with great results. It starts working very quickly, and Iโve always been happy with how well it gets rid of fleas. Iโve recommended it to friends, and theyโve had good experiences too. If we ever have another flea problem, Iโll definitely buy it again.

Affordable Alternative
We have tough fleas in Florida so I try to stick with the formulation that is similar to the brand that fleas don't seem to be immune to here. This one has the same ingredients. When I put it on the dog, there seemed to be a lot in the tube. I went up and down his back in spots about three times. The one that is dangerous to cats seems to work the best here for fleas. The name brand and this brand don't seem to be harmful to our cats but we put it on in the evening when the cats and dog aren't laying together and we watch them all for a reaction and haven't had one with this or the name brand. Does it work? Not sure yet. We have a German shepherd and they are prone to allergies and skin problems so he still itches, bites and scratches but maybe not as much when he didn't have drops at all seems week. We don't see fleas but like the added protection for mosquitoes. This seems to be the best OTC other than going to the vet and buying Bravecto at $60 a pill. This package was reasonably priced. It also seems to have a lot in the vial. As for smell, I didn't notice any and the cats didn't treat the dog differently so I don't think there is a smell. For ease of use, I don't like this type of vial. I've bought a different brand that used the same type of vial and it split. So I separated them with scissors and used scissors to cut the top. Better to treat it gently just in case but they arrived intact with no leakage. I can live with vials I don't like when this costs more than half the price of the name brand and this has full vials.

No buggies!
I have used Advecta for a while and I have never had any issues. Keeps the fleas, ticks, and other bugs off my dogs. Plus it's affordable. I have 4 dogs to treat and buy 3 different sizes in doses. No complaints, no side effects, quality product. Will continue to buy this product.

Doesn't work as well as advertised
My dog's have less fleas but it doesn't get rid of them and I'm afraid the fleas that are still alive are just going to be immune to the medicine so i would say it kinda works but not as well as we wanted it to

It works and my dogs keep it on
arrived quick and seems to be working. This is a very bad tick season and so far no more ticks have attached themselves to our dogs.
