SG144-7GE-PCP 7" Duo-Edge Santoku Style Cooks Knife with Soft Rubber Grip Handle

US- made, durable, best knife I've ever owned. I had the previous version (SG-144) for 8 years, but it fell behind the oven.I went to BB&B, S&F and Target and all they had were Chinese knives, some made with "German steel" (sure, whatever) and because it was an emergency I bought one that was more expensive than this and it was horrible -he ergonomics were bad and I started getting carpel-tunnel after chopping one tray of chicken. I promptly returned it and luckily thought of Amazon.My new SofGrip is a DREAM to chop with. Safe, comfortable, excellent ergonomics - I could chop all day and as a bonus - Made in the USA! I LOVE THIS KNIFE. I will add a picture later to show it in action.

Love this except cutting carrots stained the whit handle which is the reason for the 4 and not 5 stars but I live the knife!

I love these knives because of the fat handles that aren’t slippery. Have had many finger surgeries/joint replacements in my hands and I can use these knives safely.

The knife is probably fine. I struggled and finally cut myself opening the blasted plastic. Why doesn't it have instructions as to how to open it safely??!! This is really irresponsible packaging. Be careful!

Great knife. On the lighter side. Solid blade. Very sharp but does lose its edge faster than expensive knives. Sharpens well. Easy to make real sharp again. Soft grip is absolutely great.

As with most of these MADE IN AMERICA D/R knives, they are extremely sharp and well balanced. I love the Duo edge as very few things stick to the blade when slicing and dicing. The high carbon steel makes for easy sharpening.

Recommended by a chef friend, these are truly the best. Working on completing a set of Sani-safe knives! The 7" boner was my go to knife but this is becoming a favorite.

Nice grip on handle. Easy to clean and holds edge well.
