I’m thinking of getting the light blue one as well. What I like about it is you can add or take away layers underneath. It’s not too heavy or restrictive for hiking which is what I wanted it for around the Puget Sound area. I haven’t been in a downpour yet but so far so good in light rain. If you’re hiking, and add like a fleece jacket underneath, I was comfortable although it had froze. I haven’t tried it out yet when it’s been windy and raining, but I think it will pull through. I might spray it down with water proofing for peace of mind as I hike a lot in the rain, but again I haven’t been in a downpour. It seems true to size, I am 5’5 160 pounds and the XXL fit me well leaving enough room for layers with no restriction The arms were a little long but the Velcro around the wrists keeps it from falling down to your hands. You don’t feel the Velcro as it’s on the outside. I liked that it wasn’t gathered around your wrist and scratchy. An added hat keeps my head warm while the hood keeps me dry.
