VEVOR Machinery Skate Dolly, 6 Ton/13228 lbs

I used these to move a 1200 lb piece of machinery on a level basement floor. Keep in mind that most will suggest using just 3 rather than 4 at a time, to make sure there's pressure on each foot. The layout of the equipment I was moving didn't allow that, but it's a good tip. Moving the machine one 4 meant that there was sometimes no weight at all on one of the 4 skates. That's because these have no suspension, no meaningful flex at all to distribute the load. They also need a troweled smooth clean concrete surface. That's true with any dolly like this. So all that said, with a little over a half ton load, they worked fine. Rotated easily under load, the bars were easy to adjust and necessary to swivel, and the skates rolled smoothly. It's the only way to move heavy stuff around a shop.

Very solid, used to move a cnc machine and does it very well

Moved a 1,500lb piece of exercise equipment across the garage and back to modify floor mats with the skates plus a toe jack. Wheels were effective, rolled well and didn't get bogged down in cracks. If you are moving something on solid concrete you might do well to get the pry bars to angle the skates, but in my case they would have just caused binding with the mats. If you have any incline at all make sure you can stop the thing from rolling away.

The VEVOR 4PCS Machinery Skate Dolly set is a robust solution for moving heavy industrial equipment, I used them to move loads up to 12,000 pounds with ease. While they offer smooth rolling and good weight distribution, some modifications might be necessary for optimal performance in certain scenarios. **Pros:** - **Heavy Duty Capacity:** These skates can handle extremely heavy loads, making them ideal for industrial environments where moving large machinery is a necessity. - **Smooth Movement:** The skates roll smoothly on warehouse floors, which reduces the physical effort required for moving heavy items. - **Sturdy Construction:** The build quality appears to be high, with materials that can withstand the rigors of industrial use. **Cons:** - **Stability Issues:** The skates have a tendency to shift out from under the equipment, which could pose a risk of the load tipping over. This issue was addressed by adding a center stud. - **Fitment:** The design might not fit all types of machinery bases universally. Customizing with a saddle was necessary for a better fit. - **Steering:** Maneuverability can be challenging without additional modifications like connecting the rear skates with a pipe for easier control. **Additional Modifications:** - **Center Stud:** To prevent the skates from shifting, installing a stud in the center was an effective solution. - **Saddle Fabrication:** Creating a saddle for a more universal fit was necessary for securing various types of equipment bases. - **Steering Aid:** Connecting the rear skates with a pipe significantly improved the ability to steer the equipment, making it easier to navigate. The VEVOR 4PCS Machinery Skate Dolly set is a must-have for anyone in the business of moving heavy machinery. While it requires some modifications to enhance stability and fitment, these tweaks are relatively simple for someone with basic fabrication skills. The skates' ability to handle substantial weight with smooth mobility makes them an invaluable asset in any industrial setting. If you're looking for a reliable tool to assist with heavy-duty moving tasks, these skates are definitely worth considering, just be prepared for a bit of customization to get them working perfectly for your specific needs.

These are great and the price is very friendly. Well made and easy to use. I would put something soft (wood or plastic) on the turntables to make them less slippery( same as any other skate) and use caution to be sure you don't "walk off the skate" on uneven surfaces. I dumped a large lathe that way years ago and have never forgotten the lesson.

They work as advertised. I used them to move a 5000+ forklift and they worked perfectly. Need a good flat smooth surface though

Very poor design. If two wheels swivel under the plate it will tip over and the axle barrels will dig into the floor. Terrible Quality control. I ordered three units. One of the units was missing two large washers and one snap ring that hold the wheels on. When I lifted the unit from the box, one of the wheels fell off and nearly broke my foot. Awful customer service. I tried to contact the manufacturer and had no luck after several attempts. No more Vevor products for me.

Used these to move my Bridgeport mill. They could easily handle it Tip, is to get the handle with them as turning is constantly needed.

Extremely stable & well built fire perfectly with two skate from the same company. For safety reasons I would add a finger guard to the handles or a metal 'V' on the handle bar itself to stop the handle going straight to the floor.
