Canon PIXMA E470 All in One (Print, Scan, Copy) WiFi Ink Efficient Colour Printer for Home

Value for money. Easy to setup. Decent quality print.

recently purchased the Canon Pixma E477, and here’s my honest opinion: ✔ Good Points: It’s a very good printer for students and study purposes. Budget-friendly and gets the job done for basic printing. You can print photos, and the quality is decent for a normal printer (but don’t expect high-end photo printer quality). ✘ Bad Points: Very weak in connectivity. I was not able to connect it to my laptop via Wi-Fi, so I had to use a USB cable every time. This is quite disappointing. 📝 Final Verdict: If your budget is tight, you can buy it. But if you can increase your budget, I strongly recommend going for an Ink Tank photo printer — they are better for long-term use, cheaper per print, and give much better photo quality.

Very poor product and disappointing service. There is no onsite warranty, and authorized service centers are hard to find even in metro cities. The printer started showing paper jam error code 1000 from day one, despite being brand new. Basic functionality like paper pickup does not work, and fixing the issue requires visiting distant service centers, making the experience extremely frustrating. The service support is slow and inconvenient. I strongly advise against buying this product. It is unreliable, poorly supported, and not worth the effort or cost.

Delivery was great, well ahead of time. Quality of the printer material is too basic, no sturdy parts. Took forever to figure out how to connect to home wifi network, instruction manuals both paper and online are useless, just had to figure out by trial and error. Issues every step of the way while using the installer to connect to Wifi. Doesn’t support WPA3 security connection with router. USB connection to laptop is straight forward. Print quality seems to be ok, need to wait and see how long the ink lasts. Doesn’t support Airprinter so you need to install Canon Print app for iPhones. App is basic. Suggest to go slightly higher end if you can and choose something with control panel screen instead of this. Does the job though once you get the setup right.

This is a nice budget AIO printer option with good print quality. Tested with B/W as well as Colour print. Quality is good. Speed is ok, a bit slow, but that's fine. However I did not like the build quality. The plastic quality is very cheap. Feels like it will break anytime. Setup was a bit cumbersome. However following the instructions, videos, I was able to get it running. It could be a bit daunting for someone new. Didn't test with a photo print, which this printer should excel at, because after all it is a Pixma photo printer. This is overall ok as an occasional printer. Let's see how long it lasts.

I am using this for close to 10 years and it has stood the test of time. I used to have hp and epson earlier and they used to get stuck and get into some or the other issue. This one is working like a gem..
