It dries to a high-gloss, uniform finish and extends working time, allowing artists to mix, brush, pour, or drip with ease on canvas and glass surfaces. Non-toxic and ASTM D-4236 certified, it’s the perfect tool for professionals seeking vibrant, glossy, and precise color effects. ## Description Vitrail Lightening Medium is a glossy-finish medium used to create lighter tones without reducing the quality of the color nor making it more fluid. It is a part of the Vitrail Auxiliaries, designed to help artists create special effects with ease when working with Vitrail's ultra-gloss finish paints. These ready-to-use, alkyd oil-based paints allow for subtle shades and added depth on fine art surfaces such as canvas and other non-porous surfaces, and are ideal for both stained glass effects and Mixed Media applications. Either mix Lightening Medium with a Vitrail color before application, use brushes and droppers, or simply drip, spatter and pour the medium directly from the bottle. Available in 45 ml and 250 ml bottles. Conforms to ASTM D-4236. ## Features - Use to lighten Vitrail colors without diminishing or thinning the colors - Can be used to extend Vitrail colors and working time - Dries to a high-gloss, uniform finish - Mix, brush, pour or drip into Vitrail paints - Available in 45 ml and 250 ml bottle ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B005KOGOEM | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #382,359 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #7,454 in Art Paints | | Brand | PEBEO | | Brand Name | PEBEO | | Color | Lightening Medium 250 Ml | | Color Code | transparent | | Container Type | Bottle | | Coverage | Transparent | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 60 Reviews | | Dry Time In Hours | 24 | | Finish Type | Transparent | | Global Trade Identification Number | 03167860072275 | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Form | bottle | | Item Type Name | PEBEO VITRAIL MEDIUM 250ML | | Item Volume | 250 ml | | Item Weight | 8.8 ounces | | Manufacturer | Pebeo Fabricant de Couleurs | | Model Name | 054000US | | Model Number | 054000US | | Paint Type | Oil | | Part Number | 054000US | | Size | 8.45 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) | | Special Feature | Non Toxic | | Special Features | Non Toxic | | Specific Uses For Product | glass paint | | Surface Recommendation | Canvas,Glass | | UPC | 499996037631 | | Unit Count | 8.45 Fluid Ounces | ## Product Details - **Brand:** PEBEO - **Color:** Lightening Medium 250 Ml - **Finish Type:** Transparent - **Size:** 8.45 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - **Item Volume:** 250 Milliliters - **Special Feature:** Non Toxic - **Unit Count:** 8.45 Fluid Ounces - **Paint Type:** Oil - **Specific Uses For Product:** glass paint - **Surface Recommendation:** Canvas,Glass ## Images ![Pebeo Vitrail, Stained Glass Effect Paint Auxiliaries, 250 ml Bottle - Lightening Medium, 8.45 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61+00sFutUL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Pebeo Vitrail, Stained Glass Effect Paint Auxiliaries, 250 ml Bottle - Lightening Medium, 8.45 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - Pebeo Vitrail, Stained Glass Effect Paint, 45 ml Bottle - Brown, 1.52 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - Pebeo Vitrail, Stained Glass Effect Paint, 250 ml Bottle - Crimson, 8.45 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/7737906-pebeo-vitrail-stained-glass-effect-paint-auxiliaries-250-ml-bottle](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/7737906-pebeo-vitrail-stained-glass-effect-paint-auxiliaries-250-ml-bottle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
