Cheap... and not worth the price.
I purchased this muddler based on a few things.- Price is for sure, but I'm a middle-of-the-class buyer- It appears to be a solid piece of equipment- It has a style to itWhat I like about it:Out of the box, it's got this AWEsome feeling, yet its extremely light to the touch. This may be good and bad. The good is, nowadays, everything has to be light-weight. I don't subscribe to the mass-thinking. I like my stuff on the heavier side. It definitely has some class to it.What I don't like about it:There are many. First of all, like another reviewer mentioned, the o-rings keep falling out. I like my stuff as they came originally so didn't opt to remove them altogether, but with multiple people doing dishes, these o-rings have long been lost. So, part of its class is missing. The handle is hollow, like it's made from a closed off tube of stainless steel. Well, there's not much to say about that, except it holds water. Should I say... stinky OLD water? I should have thought about that at the beginning, but I was too excited about getting my own muddler that it hadn't dawned on me. Next is the question, "how could anyone make such a product FOR FOOD that can store contaminants?" Well, it does. I hadn't used this muddler for a few months and when I picked it up a few days ago, I noticed it was in a pool of brownish-green liquid. I suppose I don't have to tell anyone what that brownish-green liquid is... or perhaps someone out there can tell ME what that brownish-green liquid is. So when I first got the muddler, the plastic foot didn't seem to budge so I figured the manufacturer had probably sealed it pretty well. Well, when I found it in the pool, I had to get it off, and surprisingly, it wasn't really that hard. Once the foot was off, A LOT more of the same liquid came out.Needless to say, I don't think I'll be using this muddler anymore. Also, if you're muddling a glass that is almost full, this muddler, assuming it is not full of liquid, will displace much of your drink and either you will end up loosing some of your drink or you won't make it to the bottom enough to smash and grind anything. By the way, this muddler is no good for tall glasses. You will be pinching the muddler by the o-rings... if you still have them.I should have stayed with OXO or Houdini.

The rubber O-rings constantly come out of the slots when using, so I just removed them altogether. Otherwise, it worls just as expected. Not much to muddling, just need the right length based on the proper glass selection.

The rubber bands at the top fell off almost immediately, but otherwise it gets the job done for prepping mojitos.
