Sacroiliac Hip SI Belt, USA Patented SI Joint Belt for Women & Men - Gray-R

About 2 months ago I bought a house....with lots of stairs. Shortly after moving in I noticed persistent hip/low back pain and stiffness. I started with the usual suspects...anti-inflammatories, rest, stretching, heating pad. Nothing worked and the pain continued to increase despite limiting my activities. Then, to add insult to injury a few weeks later, I fell backwards while playing volleyball with some friends landing on my hip/butt. From then, the hip pain became almost unbearable. With some trial and error I determined my SI joint/SI ligaments to be the source of the pain. The pain was particularly bad while sitting for long periods or sleeping on my right side and my work and my sleep were suffering. On a whim I decided to try an SI joint belt to see if it alleviated any discomfort. This belt has been seriously amazing and a life saver! After a few days I was no longer needing meds during my work day while wearing the belt and I could sleep more comfortably through the night even on my right side. Within one week I felt better than I had in more than 2 months and was even able to do a light routine at the gym. My measurements fell right at the max for the regular size, and I wanted it to be supportive and not too loose so I opted for the regular. The belt fits snugly but is comfortable enough to wear under clothing all day. If you are between the regular and XL, however you might want to consider the XL. It even comes with a little guide to hip exercises. Given that my hip pain went treated improperly for several weeks, I will give this more time to see if it completely resolves all discomfort but I am super grateful I gave this a try!

Ok so I didn't want to believe it and after reading all the reviews I took a chance. I've been suffering immensely from SI joint pain that shoots down into my right leg so bad I cannot stand or walk more than 5 Mins without crying for the past 2 months. Nothing has worked and I haven't been able to receive a proper diagnosis. I was beginning to feel so helpless with a pain level of 10! I JUST got this belt about an hour ago and put it on and I am not kidding you this thing works!!! I have been able to walk, stand, and play with my granddaughter without feeling the excruciating pain that makes me just want to give up. Although I know I still have some healing to do I can honestly say so far...this belt has given me my life back and my pain level is so much more tolerable. This is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'm going to keep wearing it and hopefully see more improvement in time. If you suffer from SI joint pain that shoots down into your leg PLEASE buy this! Please do yourself a favor and get the relief you deserve. I'm writing this in tears of joy because I was suffering so bad I was ready to say goodbye to my children! Thank you so much for this product!!!! Update: I was finally diagnosed with 2 herniated disc's that was causing the SI pain down my leg. I was told I would need surgery to repair them. I continued to wear this belt along with home decompression and core exercises and I am happy to say I did not need surgery and have minimal amount of pain. This belt was a life saver. (Please note this will not be the outcome for everyone as some cases are more severe than others) but this belt helped stabilize my hips and alleviate the pain shooting down my leg from my back. I truly hope this brings relief to others and pray for the best for you!

I purchased this belt as I needed abdominal support prior to surgery. While I try to wrap low on my hips, it does have a tendency to rise due to the anatomy of my waist. This is not a weakness in the product. One improvement that could be made to the product is the addition of a hook and loop closure on the first strap that goes against your body. It has a tendency to fall out the bottom as the belt rises up your hips as in my usage case. I have found that it provides lower body support thereby elimination my lower back pain, especially when I an carrying a concealed firearm. I have found this belt to be a good purchase.

I have ordered several.of these. I wear them so often that I wear them out and need a new one. That tells you the quality is good. The elastic holds it shape for a long time of use. I even wear it to bed to support my lower back during sleep I wake up with no to little pain in the morning. Great product!! I will continue to order as I wear them out supporting my body.

Does work as long as you don't move. It slowly rides up and on to the belly instead of staying put.

I don't know why my doctor never suggested this. He did send me to a physical therapist who did suggest I start using an SI belt. Explained while most braces will weaken your back over time, the SI belt will not and offers the support I need that could be used on a daily basis. I know if I walk out the door to go to work and forget to put it on, I can tell a huge difference throughout the day. I like it so much that I suggested it to a friend that was having the same issues as me, and they are just as impressed as I am. This belt is so easy to put on and adjust and holds well throughout the day.

I bought this in desperation. Back pain was gradually narrowing my life choices, my activity, and my happiness. It took me a couple of weeks of experimenting with where to place the belt (high? or low?), but now I wear it every day and am so much more comfortable. It isn't a cure-all. I still have some SI pain, severe at times, but the belt has improved life immensely. Best of all, I love the quality. The edging of the Velcro pads prevents (almost always) the Velcro from sticking to my knit clothes, one of my pet peeves. I feel like my bones are back in their right place when I put it on.

I've gone through at least four types of back support braces -- those with rigidity inserts, multiple layers of elastic, and even complete torso coverage. The total torso version does provide exceptional support, but it feels like I'm in a full body cast (and it takes forever to put on and take off). This brace, which is the smallest of all those I've tried, is the most effective. I can wear it all day without feeling "strapped in," it's easy to put on and take off (a real consideration when it's time to use the loo), and it was the least expensive of the lot. Of course, it's strictly for sacroiliac pain. If you've got lumbar pain higher up, it probably won't help much, if at all. There are other devices from companies like Mueller that work well for that area of the back (I own those, too, and they worked extremely well until my spine decided to find a new place to generate pain).
