This charger is better than expected. The cables are thick and the hardware is high quality. The app is great and does show how many amp hours go into the battery, which is what I wanted. Highly recommended.

My last charger of another brand worked well, but rather noisy. This Victron charger has no fan, so it is silent. Works as it should, and app is easy to use. I like that the app keeps track of the accumulated "amps put into the battery" as it charges. This a great feature, will be able to keep track over time the state / capacity of a battery. Normally as a battery ages the capacity decreases due to various reasons. The 15a version, a few reviewers stated it ran hot. I wanted to avoid that so I got this 10a version. I did not see any reviews of this 10a version, stating it ran hot. During the charging of a 100a LiFePO4 battery for 7hrs, the hottest measurement in one spot with my hand held pyrometer was 119 degrees F. Thats not bad. The included battery clamps appear to be on the flimsy / cheap side. I have not used them, nor do I plan to. I prefer to use the included ring terminals for battery connection. No issue with the ring terminals, and work well for tight connection to battery. Charger is somewhat expensive. But after using, and seeing what it can do, no regrets.

For modern cars and AGM batteries this sort of a charger is a necessity. I leave a car at 2nd home for weeks or months and this charger really does the right job where an old school trickle charger failed.

I would not recommend buying this Victron charger! Read in the forums about the problems this charger has. I purchased this charger a little more than two months ago and it is already not working correctly. Alternating between Bulk and Absorption. I contacted Inverters R US through the Amazon warranty process. After spending $25.26 to UPS the item back to Inverters R US from Tennessee, I was contacted by the warranty division at Inverters R US. The first person that contacted me wanted my shipping address to return the repaired charger. I asked him if he had read the note that put in my warranty claim to Amazon. I asked if I could upgrade to a different model (Victron..) and pay the difference. It is clear that this model has an issue and I was hoping that I could get a better charger and everyone would be happy. Negative. The second person I talked to told me that he was sending me a new charger. This is where I feel like someone is not telling me the truth. One says they are sending me the repaired unit and one says that they are sending me a new unit. If they are sending me a new unit, I don't understand why they won't let me upgrade to a more expensive unit and pay the difference. Victron, I don't believe this is beneficial to you or to the customer. I have several Victron devices including a 12/1200 inverter and a 75/15 MPPT solar charge controller. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth for your products. I will update this review after I receive the new/repaired charger and at least let you know if the returned charger is working correctly. I would not recommend purchasing this charger.

Overall I am very happy with the unit (12v/10A) so far. It works as expected, offers fast charging for larger (20-100 AH) lifepo4 batteries as well as lead acid batteries, and includes some key features like Li-ion under voltage protection reset, temperature compensation charging, and a bluetooth app for monitoring and controlling the charger. Unfortunately the history is only available if the charger remains plugged in so the dta must be stored on board rather than on the app but that could be considered a good thing if you have multiple mobile devices that you plan to use to monitor or control the system. One grip I have is that the single tactile button on the unit is not centered under the applique on the face of the unit and is a little difficult to activate for some reason. This may be limited to my unit but I have adjusted to it now and it's not a problem

Victron is a Holland-based company and they make top-notch stuff that's designed to meet some very strict codes (e.g., marine). This charger (which is not made in China -- but it is manufactured in India) is totally reliable and anyone here badmouthing it simply has no idea what they're talking about. This is a great charger for all your charging needs -- LifePo4 batteries as well. And the easy-to-use app tells you just about everything you'd want to know about the charging activities and gives you many configuration options -- down to the last detail -- so you can set up the charger for your specific batteries.

Worked great. Even resolved an old battery issue of not charging to full.

Previous charger from a different manufacturer did not survive in an enclosed area. This one has, and I like the Bluetooth feature as I can monitor without having to dig into where it is installed.
