316L Stainless Steel Fidget Ring for Men Women Size 4-16

I was planning to wear this on my ring finger but it is a little bulky and didn't allow my fingers to nest together comfortably so I have been wearing it on my thumb and I love it. I wear it every day. It is very beautiful and I love the way it catches the light when I move my hand and having it on my thumb I find I am constantly spinning the chain with my other fingers or rolling it across a desk top or my knee or something. It spins very freely and it seems high quality and durable. I do end up switching from one hand to the other because it gets a little hot and I am prone to sweating. I think this has helped me to control my nail biting significantly, I actually have to cut my nails for the first time in years.

I thought the plating would wear off in the first week, but I've been wearing it daily for 6 months now. Even while working on the car or in the yard. The finish was surprisingly robust and I didn't notice it fading until 4-5 months in. But it faded relatively evenly across the outermost face, so it kind of looks like it was just made that way. In bright light, its a little harder to tell that it has worn off. It does also have a few scratches and dings, but I specifically wanted something cheap that wasn't going to matter if it took abuse. I fidget with the chain links a lot and they haven't broken and they're less faded than the outer faces. I'm sure the fact that it has this chain in the middle hides some wear-and-tear. If it was just a simple ring, you would have that whole surface showing every blemish. I was a little worried that it might retain dirt and be hard to clean, but even with grit-loaded grease from the car, I've not had to work very hard at getting it washed up.

I bought one for my grandson a few years ago and he lost it at a beach this summer, so I got a replacement for him. He likes it a lot, masculine and sturdy, helps with his fidgeting.

The ring looks good and is nice solid material. The spinning chain is very hard to spin. I saw a suggestion to try manipulating it back and forth for a few days to get it loosen up. I will try that because I love how it looks. if it doesn’t loosen up I will return it.
