The instructions are confusing. I have not even tried to repair my umbrella because of it. Once I can figure it all out and try it, I will try to review again.

It’s all in the tightness of the roll.
It worked. I snapped a rib at the joint the concept is genius. It is not perfect and I am not sure how long it will last but my umbrella is up and working. I am thinking of adding some hose clamps on each side to strengthen the hold on the steel flashing.

directions worked. Not sure if our break was the kind that would work with this products, as it is right where the screw attaches to the pole. It bent under the strain of it, ultimately.
