Great for Bone Health & Convenient Subscription 💊
I’ve been taking this Citracal supplement on a subscription, and it’s been a great choice—especially with the added savings. It’s very important to me to support my bone health, especially as a senior, and I like that this includes calcium, Vitamin D3, and magnesium all in one. The slow-release formula and once-daily dose make it easy to stay consistent. It’s a reliable product that I feel good about taking every day. Convenient, effective, and a great value—I’ll definitely continue using it! 💕

Benefit with slow release CITRACAL!
If you are looking for the best calcium and vitamin D supplement as advised by your physician, this may be the one you want. Read the label carefully as all calcium tablets available are certainly not the same even if it is another Citracal product. The slow release 1200 is taken 2 caplets once daily! Citracal also makes a 1200 mg NOT slow release and is taken 2 caplets twice a day. I made this mistake, thinking what could be the difference other than lower price only to discover my lab resulted in a below desired level for calcium. In my case I just did not consistently get 2 caplets in twice a day. These slow release are still very large and not simple to swallow but managable and provided what was needed. Always ask your physician but I found these to be perfect and also strongly recommended by my MD. No after taste or odors. Plenty of D3 in the daily dose as well.

Stopped my overnight hip pain almost immediately
As a bariatric patient, getting enough calcium citrate is super important—and this product delivers! I purchased Citracal to help meet my calcium needs, and I noticed a *huge* difference almost immediately. Before taking this, I was waking up with hip joint pain after just a few hours of sleep. It caused me to toss and turn all night, and I honestly didn’t realize how much it was affecting me until the pain disappeared. Once I started taking these, the discomfort stopped almost overnight—no exaggeration! I love that this has **Vitamin D3 included**, which helps with absorption and makes it easier to stick to my supplement routine. The slow-release formula is a big plus too—it’s gentle on my stomach and easy to take. I'm seriously so happy with this purchase. If you're a fellow bariatric patient or just need reliable calcium citrate support, I highly recommend giving this a try!

Excellent Form of Calcium Plus D - Only Two Tablets 1X/day
I have been taking Calcium pills for over twenty years now, I have seen everything, from the days of horse-sized pills, with no Vitamin D ( D is sort of necessary, since your body will not process the Calcium without it.), to the various heated arguments about just what the precise and correct type of Calcium was that one should take, down to the ultimate battle of just what the precise correct dosage was - I have been there, I bear the battle scars proudly upon my body. One day, I was reading something online, and an ad popped-up, normally I ignore ads, but something about this caught my eye. Yes, it was yet another type of calcium, yoo-hoo! But something was different about this Citracal 1200 Slow-Release. As I read, I became more and more excited, I called my PCP to check on the verity of the claims made but Citracal .......it was true....the days, months, years, and decades of choking down a pill fit only for a mule, and at that - four times a day.... They were over, I was released from my bondage to the evil giant monster Calcium pills. These Citracal tablets are time-released, contain the appropriate amount of Vitamin D, , and......heavens to murgatroyd - one takes only two per day, at one time in the morning. Well, needless to say, my world has changed, little birds circle my head, twittering a merry tune as I stride purposefully down the street. My Bone Density Scans come back so perfect that my gynecologist dances in glee, and mentions the term "steel girders", as he frolics around my scans. These pills are not tiny, but they are so much better than anything that came before. I take them on an empty stomach in the morning, with no issues. Although, some have mentioned that they experience slight distress when taking these on an empty stomach, I never have. If one does, take the pills with food. I now have these on my Subscribe and Save list, and receive a few bottles every month or so. If you want to be strong and tall, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, I recommend these tablets. Should you just wish to be able to walk straight and tall down the street, no bounding, these will also take care of you. Why oh why did it take so long for single dose, time-release Calcium to reach our shores? I recommend these most highly. Women Unite - Take Calcium and Stay Strong and Tall Throught Your Given Days!

Good supplement
I’ve been using Citracal Slow Release 1200 for several years, and it’s become a staple in my daily health regimen. The combination of calcium citrate and carbonate, along with 1000 IU of Vitamin D3 and 80 mg of magnesium, provides comprehensive support for bone health. The slow-release formula ensures efficient absorption, and I appreciate that it’s gentle on the stomach. The tablets are a bit large, which might be a consideration for some, but I find that taking them with a protein drink helps them go down smoothly. Since incorporating this supplement into my routine, my bone density has improved, which was confirmed by my recent bone density test. It’s reassuring to know that Citracal is the #1 doctor and pharmacist recommended calcium brand. Overall, I highly recommend Citracal Slow Release 1200 to anyone looking to support their bone health. It’s an effective, well-formulated supplement.

Horse Pills For A Strong Stomach
This is a good calcium supplement, containing the exact ingredients recommended by my doctor. However, taking them has turned into a chore so far. They are actually not too difficult to swallow whole, their shape helps. The first two pills I swallowed okay, but shortly afterwards my stomach felt like I had swallowed a small rock. Nothing I ate or drank made the feeling totally subside until the next day. Apparently, the slow release function causes the pills to dissolve very very slowly. Next day, I tried dissolving a pill in hot tea. It pretty well disappeared in the tea (cut in halves) but there were granules left in the cup, no taste though. So then I tried cutting the pills in half and was able to take easily enough for a few days, until a sharp edge caught in my throat and actually cut it a bit. Very painful. It does seem that cutting the pills helps them dissolve better in the stomach, the hard coating not causing the slow slow dissolve. Now I am cautiously cutting the pills into quarter pieces, one pill at night and one in the morning. I suppose it's a good product, but a ridiculous amount of work to take. If I wasn't watching calories, it would be easier to just drink 4 glasses of milk.

Recommended formula
My doctor suggested I take this brand with the slow release of Calcium plus Vitamin D3. I don't like taking the large pills but I do follow the directions to take them with a full glass of water and remain standing while swallowing them. I also take a Vitamin K2 capsule with them which is not in this formula. The price on Amazon is significantly lower than in my local store which was a big help since I need them to help with my calcium intake to support my bones and teeth. I find it best to take them in the morning after a meal as directed so they can be released throughout the day. So far no problems with digesting them so I am pleased.
