Not full power
It seems like there is a lack of power when using the drill, even though it works, and performs a "normal" job fine, seems like battery power is not enough to fully function.

Nothing to add
I never looked to see where these were made, but they’re like a 16th of an inch short of fitting in a Makita drill. The battery works if I push real hard, but if it’s just closing the door, it doesn’t work so could be the difference in the Chinese manufacturer. Or wherever it’s made.

They seem to work
I bought two of these batteries, 'cause my old Makita batteries had to be recharged just before use--wouldn't hold a charge. I charged my new batts a month and a half ago, when I received them. Threw one into my drill yesterday--worked great. I'm very happy to have these, as I have several old 9.6V Makita tools that continue to do the job years after I bought them. And now it looks like they'll keep doin' it!

Will not charge with Makita charger.
Will not charge with OEM Makita charger while ad states they do. Contacted Amazon and shipper to make it right but still for a response. Would not recommend buying these due to lack of customer service. As of 5/26/26 still no response from shipper.

Hard to find NiMH battery back. A bit tight fit for my Makita 9000 but works fine.
I have a 15 year old Makita Drill (three of them). I bought NiMH batteries 10 years ago and they had about 50% more power (and lighter) than the NiCD originals (easy to find BTW). Of my two original MiMH... they have finally faded away. These batteries are hard to find but this one appears to be correct and works fine. 5 stars. Arthur H. Sunnyvale, CA (Aug 2019).
