Olive Outright Folding Pocket Knife, 3 inch 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel Blade, Pocketclip

I absolutely love the Kershaw Outright. I have recently started collecting and sharpening knives, but so far this has been my favorite! I love the color, size, weight, feel, style/look, and action of this knife! The edge came very sharp right out of the box and after 2 weeks I haven't had to sharpen it yet. The only problem I was having with it was the pivot was coming loose every time I would play with it. I am the type of person who loves to fidget with my knives with one hand and this one is so easy and satisfying to do one handed that you just want to do it over and over again. But since I was doing that I kept having to retighten the pivot screw and that was getting annoying. I just added a small dot of Blue Loctite 242 to the threads and let it cure without opening it for a little less than 24 hours. It was such an easy fix and now I can play with it for hours without the pivot screw budging a millimeter. The materials used in this knife are really good quality! I have droppedit twice on concrete and you can barely see any marks on it and it still performs like new. I am very pleased with this knife and highly recommend it!

Great reliable knife holds an edge well and is compact

Just opened it. My very first impression is that the knife feels sturdy and well put together, but small in the hand. I am 5'9" so my hand isn't gigantic. The knife does not extend past my palm at all, meaning if I go to flick it open I have to cinch up on the knife to properly reach the flicker. The handle besides being a little short is steel and G-10. The G-10 is only on the thumb side if you are right handed and it is nice, but the other side has NO G-10 at all and is a bit slippery. Blade is sharp, but the point is very thin and does not look like it can take a beating at all. The spring assist works well. It is a handsome knife and I did not pay much because I has a coupon, but I liked both my SOG and my Smith & Wesson better overall. I give the knife an "A" for quality and a "C" for functionality.

This girl is a big fan of all sorts of knives and I absolutely love this knife! This is my current everyday carry (EDC) knife. I am a huge fan of Kershaw knives in general, due to their durability, ease of use, look and feel and high value for the money compared to other leading brands. This knife drew me in because of the color initially and it didn’t disappoint at all! It is beautiful with a smooth action and is super light weight. The blue is dark enough to not look “girly” at all, which I appreciate. I even carry it when wearing yoga pants. Easy to open/deploy one-handed using either the flipper or thumb studs, even with my smaller hands. It is very durable, but the blue will wear off on the edges a bit on the pocket clip after a lot of use. The blade comes pretty sharp and it is easy to sharpen as well.

For the price you can not beat this knife. The Kershaw 8320 Outright has a bold, aggressive design with that deep blue finish that demands attention without being over the top. It’s got presence. The flipper action is smooth and lightning fast, and the liner lock engages solid and clean—no play, no hesitation. And the blade? Razor sharp right out of the box. It’s ready to work the second you open it. Even though I collect knives from all price points—budget to high-end customs—this one ends up in my pocket for EDC way more than I expected. It’s reliable, feels great in hand, and just gets the job done. If you want a knife that looks good, performs even better, and doesn’t cost a fortune, this is it. Kershaw nailed it.
