I read the reviews and was on the fence about getting this. I figured, what the heck, I have 30 days to return it.You may read reviews saying it broke easily. Unfortunately, that's a by-product of mass production.You will read reviews saying it doesn't scrape all the dough out. Don't forget, there is a METAL blade that can not be fitted perfectly against the cup, because it will rust with washing, so there will be a thin layer left after scooping, especially with softer cookie dough. Ice cream scoops better because it's harder.I bake a lot. I'm doing over 100 dozen cookies for my daughter's wedding. This works wonderfully for me. I inspected it thoroughly for anything that may cause it to break and I found that it is assembled well.It's very comfortable in your hand for long periods of time. I ordered the 2 teaspoon size and I use it for party-sized cookies and melon balls.Give it a shot.

I had this size cookie scoop for years but it got broken when it blocked the draw from opening. This one is similar but the handle has plastic covering the part you squeeze and makes it easier to use. I've only used it once but I know I'm going to love it. I make cookies about once a week. I'm 84 yrs old and every little bit helps!
