Works as advertised, but does have a different texture compared to other closed cell foams
This particular foam insulation was more stretchy compared to other brands which made it easier to wrap around the bumps on the car door. The texture and feel of this foam is more neoprene and less like a camping/yoga mat. The backing is sticky enough to adhere to the door's surface but you cant heat it up a little bit to get the glue to be more sticky if you need. For this to work as a "sound deadener", make sure to also use some sort of butyl rubber as the first layer. This foam alone won't help with the vibrations caused by the wind on the door panels, it just absorbs some of the sound waves.

Good
Could be thicker but works great

Light weight sound insulation
Worked well used it for inside of door panels. Very tacky, lubricate hands or it will stick and peel off onyour hands.

Not a great product for sound proofing
The foam falls apart if you handle the foam too much while installing. Not much sound proofing. I would use a much thicker foam if space allows.

Disappointing Sound Deadening
I had high hopes for the AggSound Sound Deadening Mat (197 mil/5 mm, 6 sq ft), but unfortunately it fell short of expectations in several key areas. Performance Issues: Despite the thick 5 mm material, I found that it didn’t noticeably reduce road noise or vibration in my car. After installation, I honestly struggled to tell that it made any real difference — and that was under doors and floor panels where I expected the biggest impact. Quality Concerns: The adhesive backing was lackluster. It didn’t stick as firmly as I’d hoped, and I had to use additional adhesive to keep the mat in place. A sound deadening product should stay put on its own, especially at this price point. Installation Was Messy: The mat wasn’t very flexible, making it tough to shape around curves and tight spots. Cutting and fitting it was more of a hassle than in my past experiences with other deadening products. Plus, the edges didn’t lie flat in places, which further reduced the coverage. Value: For the price, I expected a noticeable improvement in noise reduction. Sadly, I didn’t get that. I’ve used other brands that performed better and were easier to install. Overall, the AggSound Sound Deadening Mat didn’t live up to its claims in my experience. If you’re looking for real sound control and a product that stays where you put it, I’d recommend exploring other options.

Not good
Very thin and fragile. Just rips apart when you try to adjust it. Tried to remove it, it took over an hour to clean off the sticky residue. I will never use it again.
