Artsy, fun AND useful
The Charles Viancin silicone lids are heat resistant for use in the oven up to 428 degrees F. I bought these along with a set of round Rachael Ray lids so that I'd have a variety of shapes and sizes for cooking and storage. I love the Rachael Ray ones for food storage in the fridge or for microwaving but was disappointed to learn that they cannot go in the oven at all or be used on top the stove while cooking. I'm not sure what's different in the manufacturing of the Viancin lids but they are so much more useful as you can use them for cooking and storage. I am back to find some round ones now. The seal is terrific and adheres even to my wooden bowls with smooth rims. Terrific item and huge savings on plastic wrap and foil!

They work great. I like that I don’t have to use as much foil or plastic wrap now. I do wish the larger one was about 1/2 inch larger The corners of my 9 x 13 pan are a tad exposed.

Very useful in both the microwave and the oven.
I bought these cover for some of the rectangular casseroles I have that don't have covers. The beauty of these covers is that they can be used on casserole dishes that are smaller than the cover. They don't create a suction on smaller casseroles, but they function well as a cover in the microwave. I haven't used them in the oven as yet, but I am assuming that they would serve equally well as a cover for casseroles in the oven. At any rate, I am extremely pleased with this purchase, and would highly recommend them. These covers will pay for themselves in the savings for use of plastic wrap to cover foods in the microwave that is no longer needed.

Great Seal
These form a great seal, and they have a little hole at one end so they're very easy to hang from a hook inside a door for storage. They're almost flat, they only have a small ridge across the top and don't take up much room, so no need to rearrange what's inside the cabinet to accommodate them, and no banging around or falling off like metal lids do when you open or close the door.As someone mentioned, if anything touches the edge, they do lose seal. I have to be careful to use a cover closest to the size of the dish I'm covering, and make sure any overhang won't contact the refrigerator door when I close it.

Practical and Aesthetically Pleasing
I love these!

Great to keep things fresh without plastic wrap
My only wish was that the large size was a bit bigger. The smaller one fits well on a 8x 8 pan, but the larger one doesn't cover our large 15 x 10 pan..

Keeping Food Warm Without Using Tin Foil
Roasted potatoes and carrots in the oven last weekend to take to a neighbor's house and finished a little early...put the smaller lid on the dish and put in back in the oven to keep warm. When served it was warm and not dried out. Everyone was impressed. We do a lot of out door meals, these will be perfect to keep flies away and help keep the food warm--raise up a corner, take a serving, drop it back in place, and not have to deal with tin foil. Just received these last week and was going to share one as a gift but don't think that's going to happen now. I can see now that these will be a "used" item in my kitchen.

I wish I could give this 100 stars !
These lids are an absolute genius invention. My mom and I use them for everything and no longer worry about finding specific lids for specific pots and pans and ceramic dishes and baking pans. Yes, it really does work with all that. I bake with them, I cook on the stove with them, I microwave, I store food in the fridge. They grip like crazy ( I can't figure it out ) to every container, yet are really easy to remove. They don't get hot. I have about 8 of these in various sizes. I plan on throwing out every lid in the house. This is all you need.I would like to personally thank Mr. Viancin.
