This is a lovely quality magnet and very powerful. Like all of these magnets the eye bolt needs fixing in place with Loctite. Unfortunately for me on the first outing with my magnet, after pulling up a few heavy pieces of metal rubbish the magnet got wedged underneath something in some deep water and I was unable to retrieve it. Would recommend it though for its quality and strength.

Got my fishing magnet today. I tried a kitchen knife which it picked up easily, but I also removed it easily, and the same from the side of a washing machine. I then stuck it on a 11/2 inch square iron bar in my garage, what a mistake... I weigh 200lb and it had me wiggling in mid air but it would not come off. In the end I had to get it to the edge of the bar and then pull it off. It is well made and I would definitely buy again. The more metal there is the stronger it grips it, obvious really. Watch your fingers.

Surprised how strong the magnet is, take care not to trap Your fingers. Like the idea of magnet fishing, have tried it out and works just fine. Being of a certain age, am constantly losing my keys etc. Fitting product beneath ride on mower, have large garden so pretty hopeful it will work.

I bought this for my husband , did not think much of the size , but really don't know much about these things ! .But was amazed at the " pulling power " that it had , great for the hobby or job of magnet fishing which is good for starting out as I know there are stronger magnets and the price was good too !

Not bad for the price but don't think it 226kg as my 150kg pick up more and rope quite thin as on pick look like wukong rope but not! And not even tie to the clip you have do your self
