I’ve been a loyal Pitaka customer since my iPhone 6S days, and once again, they’ve meet my expectations with the case for my iPhone 17 Pro Max. I luckily found out about PITAKA a few months ago when i was looking for another case for my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Gave one of their ultra slim cases, which happen to be on sale at the time, a shot to see if they're worth the hype... and I haven't gone back since! When I eventually decided to upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, it was an obvious choice to stick with PITAKA given how much I enjoyed their cases for my 15. Almost one week since I've gotten both the phone and Black/grey ultra slim case, I couldn't be happier! Good grip, oddly works with orange, and barely feels like it added any weight/size to the iPhone... what's there not to like. With the Black/grey ultra slim case, you'll get a clean design with a smooth & solid grip on the phone. Case fits perfectly and gives the type of protection you expect with these type of cases. Will it save the phone from a drop to hard concrete/sidewalk? Of course not. Will it give you piece of mind from general day to day object bumps and drops (who hasn't dropped their phone falling asleep on a bed/couch)? 100%. If you're looking for a ultra slim case that looks good, can have different levels of texture (i.e. Moonrise), and overall feels like a quality product that will last (at least based on my iPhone 15 cases, that rocked on strong for 6+ months still looking good), give PITAKA a try. I do not think you'll be disappointed!

After 5 months: The case itself it’s pretty overall, hard to protect your phone, light, thin, smooth, easy to install but a bit tricky to remove it. Wanted the phone to be protected but still having the feeling that I’m carrying a phone not a “brick” you get that here. Buttons respond as normal. Price is very reasonable on my end. Only downside is that because it’s so close to the screen, any screen protector will get wrecked by any unexpected hit against any “ hard enough “ object on the first time. If you feel okay with carrying a phone that’s worth $1,300 with an unprotected screen, then you’d love the case.

I will start off by saying if you are on the fence like I was for a while about buying the case and you like the slim minimal design I would go ahead and purchase the case. I started with Apple’s silicone case on the 17 pro max. The case itself was fine but the issue I had was everything stuck to it being that it is silicone. Pocket lint, dust, dirt you name it. I found myself constantly wiping it clean which got old really quick. This case is very well made and seems very durable. Time will tell if that is actually true or not but as of right now I am very happy. It is easy in and out of the pocket and does have a nice fit around all of the interaction points (buttons, ports, etc). One other area that I thought was a nice feature was the bezel that surrounds the camera. The camera bump is outlined in what appears to be aluminum which I think is a nice tough especially from a wear perspective and also adds to the premium feel. One more note on the feel of the case. The aramid fiber that they use for the construction feels really nice in the hand but may be a bit slippery for some so some sort of phone grip might be a nice addition. With that too the MagSafe magnets are reasonably strong with no issues on the apple mag safe charger or phone mounts. I won’t lie that the price is high but I have found that with some phone cases you do get what you pay for and this would be that type of situation not a great value but overall I feel like it is what it is. This isn’t necessarily the most protective case that’s out there which I was aware of. The front lip doesn’t protrude past the screen so if you constantly set your phone down on the screen side this may not be for you. However if you are looking for a very thin case that makes the phone feel like there is nothing in it at all or you want the no case feel but would like some scratch protection then this is the case for you.

This case is amazing. I picked up the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the Sunset aramid fiber color blends perfectly with it. The colors flow together really well and look premium without being loud. I am a minimalist when it comes to phone cases. I prefer thin, lightweight cases and care more about aesthetics and feel than maximum drop protection. I am also not someone who drops their phone often, so this style fits me well. What I love most is how slim this case is. The 17 Pro Max is already a big phone, and bulky cases make it even more noticeable in your pocket. This case keeps the phone feeling sleek and comfortable while still offering just enough protection when setting it down on a table. The aramid fiber feels great in hand, not slippery, and very high quality. I have been a fan of Pitaka for a while. I used a Pitaka case on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and I will most likely be using one again on my iPhone 18. If you want a slim case that looks great, feels premium, and adds some protection without bulk, this is an easy recommendation.
