I have not had a chance to test outside of my house yet but seems to work in my home. I tested the signal on my security cameras and cell phone and showed both and when changed into airplane mode nothing comes through. Seems like it will work for my needs.

Nope- this will detect your phone, ONLY if your phone is on, and the device is at the highest range and it is directly touching your phone. Bad product. I ordered two, opened one, and am returning the other for sure.
