The Con:I run a Game Club, for tweens/teens, where we learn about the mechanics, psychology, and other design aspects of games. I bought a couple of these so I could have the kids prototype games. The one child worked all week designing a game. When he brought it in some of the dry erase had smeared on the board. Worse was, he laid out 40+ cards and when he went to 'shuffle' them, they all smeared. We were able to alter the rules so the cards weren't random, but rather everyone started with the same number and types. The game was a good idea and we were able to play the concept of the game.The good stuff:This comes with a ton of stuff. For any designer that wants to layout something and delicately test it, this is great. The board is double sided allowing you to make a game that lays out uniformly on the grid-side, or something less geometric on the plain-side. Not only does it come with the standard 6 sided dice, but it also has from 3 to 12 sided dice. ( In the above mentioned game, we used these in conjunction with the static cards to add some balancing.) Also, there are pawns, chips (bingo style), and other things like timers and spinners. The thing I like best, compared to other design kits I have, is the box; everything fits in to one box just like a regular board game.

My board game loving kid is in heaven. This works so well and is so much fun. It's really well made. Everything is study and plentiful. My only suggestion is to pick up some wet erase markers because the dry erase ones it comes with sometimes smudge a bit too easily during play, especially on the cards. I use vis-a-vis and they work great. You could hunt these parts down separately yourself, but this is a great package and good value for your money. Thanks to the company for putting it together.

I always love a toy that encourages creativity and imagination. My child loves to come up with his own games and thought this was the greatest thing! For the price I feel it is a pretty good value. The items are well made and I think will hold up for a while. I wish it had come with more dry erase markers. If more markers had been included it would be a better value. But considering the fact that it's literally a blank slate and the imagination can run free, I would gladly recommend this toy as a great creative gift.

Got this for my husband for Christmas and he has been able to create and play test multiple games since. He loves the dry erase boards and cards because you can tweak things as you go or scrap it all and make a new game. Would 100% recommend!

I use this to create and remake tabletop RPG materials such as maps, collected items, enemy tokens, and in-game activities for my players. Love the grid map and all the extra supplies! My only complaint is the same I have for a lot of dry-erase items like this--it absorbs blue and green dry-erase markers waaaay too easily. My board is slightly stained from leaving marker on it for more than a few hours. Otherwise, this is so awesome!

Really fun! I bought this as a Christmas present for my little brothers and they love it. I comes with everything you could ever need when making a game. My only complaint is that both sides are dry erase and so are the cards making it you can’t make anything permanent, even sharpie comes off with use, however, I knew that going in so I can’t complain too much. I do with that the cards weren’t all dry erase but still a great product.

We bought this so that I could make an at home game for my daughter that helps her with her school work. everything works so well. It has so many pieces I was able to make a rather complex game my 3rd grader could enjoy. I used the dry erase and my own set of permanent markers when I had finally designed a game we all could play and enjoy together. Totally worth the price for what I needed.

Bought this for my 7 year old who loves to make his own board games and he LOVES IT! He has been using daily for just over a month now and it still looks like new. We did replace the dry erase markers with wet erase for two reasons 1.) he is a lefty and dry erase just smudges as he writes/draws and 2.) now he can keep a game for as long as he wants!
