Orings don't last forever when exposed to chemicals
The orings in the old cartridge get hard when exposed to chemicals like chlorine over time. Makes it difficult to get a seal when you remove the cartridge for service. For this reason, I replaced old with this new one. Installed and works excellent. Ceramic valve faces will outlast the orings by decades. Doesn't hurt to lubricate the inside of the valve body with high quality valve grease, especially the threads. Helps reduce corrosion and makes future disassembly a breeze

Model number on website does not match model number on cartridge
The cartridge was not compatible with the faucet and it was not was shown. Therefore, it did not work. The model number on the cartridge was different than the model number on the website.
