I believe the product is great when it's working correctly. I haven't really noticed any issues as other have had with reduced shower pressure. Obviously it will reduce when using the pik but otherwise no issues. Unfortunately my problem is the hose keeps coming off the the pik. It's not held on very strongly, just pushed over a feathered coupling. With the water pressure low it will stay on, but that seems to do nothing for my teeth. When it's high enough to effectively work, it keeps blowing the hose off. I've spent the last 30 min relentlessly trying to find a way to contact the seller and have them possibly offer a fix for this, but there's literally no links on both my order history or sellers page I can find to contact them, so no luck there. I would easily rate this 5 starts if I was able to contact the seller and they were able to offer me a fix. --[EDIT/UPDATE]-- Shortly after my writing my review and also contacting the company about the hose issue mentioned above, I received an email reply saying they're shipping me a new product. I actually didn't request a replacement thinking I'd have the same issue, but they sent one none-the-less. A few days later I then received a call from the owner himself wanting to know how the replacement was working out. I was thoroughly impressed with this and we had a great conversation. After reading my review and support call he knew exactly what the issue was and said that it was corrected with the new product shipped to me. I told him that I'd found an inexpensive fix already though by using a small 5/32" hose clamp which seemed to fix the problem. I told him that I was satisfied with the fix and would actually send him back the unopened replacement. To my surprise, he wouldn't have it; He said no customer of his was going to use his product with a workaround hose clamp fix! But he also wanted me to test the new product to see that the error was corrected, which I agreed with him. I've had the new unit installed for several days now and to my surprise it seems to be working just fine. So as promised in my initial review, they get 5 stars :) Great product and exceptional customer support. I was thoroughly impressed! Thanks Tom! --[1 Year Later]-- Before I begin, let me give a brief back story. About 5 years ago my dentist advised me to have a scaling and root plaining procedure done due to concerns of early periodontal disease (I was ~30 at the time). This is where they take a mini-ruler-type device and measure how far down it can go between your teeth and gums. At the time, most of my teeth had less than good measurements, with ~3 being high concern, so I took his advice and paid for the ~$350 procedure. About 2 years later I switched dentists, and he also noted concerns about my gums. I told him I had the procedure done a few years ago; however, he was convinced it either didn't work, the previous dentist didn't do it correctly, or I was just mistaken about what procedure I had. I have a history of sticking money into dental work that's went bad, so I wasn't interested in paying for the procedure again and declined his advice. I bought the ShowerBreeze in Dec, 2011 as a X-mas gift for my wife and I, but mostly in preparation for braces I was having installed Jan, 2012. I had a few initial issues with the product (detailed above), but received a replacement product and have not had any issues since. Fast forward 1 year: I've used the ShowerBreesze [almost] every day since and had my 6 mo. checkup about a month ago. Both the dentist and dental hygienist were simply blown away at how amazing my teeth and gums were, even more so given I have braces (apparently people with braces are highly problematic). They literally told me I had the cleanest teeth & braces they'd seen in years! The BEST part though, is ALL signs of periodontal disease were gone!!! Not only gone, but my gums actually grew back to above normal standards. I'll admit I have become obsessive with cleaning my teeth since I had braces put in, but brushing and flossing alone will not prevent or cure periodontal disease. Otherwise, the only change in my cleaning habit was using the ShowerBreeze. I've never used other water pick type cleaners before, and I'm sure other products can and do produce similar results, but I will attest that the ShowerBreeze does for sure. $30 and a year of use was more successful than all my professional periodontal work! I actually look forward to using this every day! The level/feeling of clean my teeth get from this is something you just have to try for yourself. When my wife first opened this on X-mas, she gave me kind of a look that said she'll never use it. A few weeks later she told me she tried it out, but it tickled her mouth/tongue too much and quit using it. I don't know if this is common, but it did this to me too at first. However, if you use it daily, it goes away after about 2 weeks (believe me, it's worth sticking it out!). Once that was over though, she said she too can't believe how much cleaner her mouth feels. The only drawback so far is that the only time I can really use it is in the shower. I know they make sink versions of this, but when using in the shower there's a lot of spray! A lot! Using something like this over the bathroom sink would cause almost the entire mirror and counter to become soaked in water. There's also likely to be far less pressure from a sink version too. When using the ShowerBreeze, I have the shower turned full on and the bypass valve at about 90%, so the water pressure is pretty intense. Though it works well for cleaning out all the small bits and pieces of crud that get stuck in my braces. tl;dr - Pretty sure ShowerBreeze cured my periodontal disease issues and recently gave me the best dental exam ever!

I love this shower flosser. I have now bought three. One for my home, one for my lake house and one for my workshop. I hate to floss. I find string floss awkward. I have a water pic but it makes a mess and takes up counter space. I bought my first Oral Breeze ShowerBreeze a few years ago and the lady who cleans my teeth saw immediately that my gums looked healthier and asked me what i was doing. Now I shower floss every time i am in the shower. It is not messy as the water is confined to the shower. I highly reccomend using this to floss in the shower. And they ar durable as the first one i bought a few years ago is still performing like the first day i bought it.

Many many years ago, I tried a battery operated "flossing" device. It was a few vibrating tough plastic wire massaging near the gaps between my teeth. I never looked back at those things again. Recently I realized that I need to do more flossing. I looked at Amazon reviews and concluded that oral irrigation works. I like to buy things that make sense, this is one of those. There will be no mess in the shower, the pressure should be more than enough, and there's an unlimited supply of water. My shower head is about a year old, plastic with hose. So the installation is super easy. I just twist off the old shower head, wound 3 rounds of tape, and screw in the device. No tools are needed. The stick on (screw optional) tip holder can also allow you to hang sections of long tubing when not in use. If you forget to turn off the ShowerBreeze valve before turning off the water supply, the tip holder can still hold the tip in place when you turn the supply back on. Otherwise the tip will fly around. Someone recommended 6' of tubing. This is good as you can clean grout at the other end of the bathtub. ShowerBreeze is a piece of chrome that is well made. The valve handle adjusts the pressure from normal shower, to no shower, to both. There is enough pressure to do both at the same time. My shower head is relative new that should meet CA standards. So I do not notice any drop in pressure when I plumbed in the device without turning it on. BTW I brought a bathroom sink faucet in the local hardware store and another online from Texas. Everybody like to use the Texas one because of higher flow. If you notice drop in pressure, you should try a CA shower head that should perform better under lower flow. My ShowerBreeze tip shoot a simple jet stream continuously. If the pressure is strong enough for your teeth, its too much for your tongue. That happens when you move the tip around in your mouth. I think I will use the right hand to vary the pressure while I use my left hand to clean inside the mouth. I can apply high pressure only when the tip is dead centre between teeth. Of course I need a mirror to do that. 6' of tubing allows you to clean sitting down in the tub. In this case I would use my finger as a shield when the tip is not in optimum position. 4 stars for lack of pressure control near the tip. I don't think it's easy or cheap. But that's a useful thing to have.

I really wanted a waterpik, but had NO counter space, didn't want to worry about cleaning a reservoir, and also didn't want to worry about the possible spray-mess. I got on Amazon, read the reviews, and decided to try a ShowerBreeze with the 6' hose so I could also use the hose to clean my tub-shower combo. I first tried it out cleaning off shower scum - and BAM, did it ever! So, if it peeled off shower nasty grime with ease, I figured I might as well give it a whorl on my teeth. It tickled a little bit upon first use, but I found I liked the extra clean feeling I got after using it, so I incorporated it daily into my morning shower and teeth brushing routine. The gum tickling feeling eventually went away, and my gums seem to be more resilient, and I don't seem to get plaque build-up on my teeth (though an electric toothbrush always helped on that). I never had an issue with my gums, but my dentist did make a point of commenting on how good they were upon my next visit after getting the ShowerBreeze. I also noticed a poster for the ShowerBreeze or some similar product on the wall of the dentist's office, so it's a legit product. Fast forward two years, and the end tip broke right in half. Not sure if it's because of my water pressure, or just daily use for two years, but I was bummed. I researched my alternatives on Amazon, but either they were just a tiny bit cheaper and much lower rated with breaking issues, or they were WAY more expensive and required replacing battiers to use. All in all, I came to the same conclusion I did 2 years ago when shopping - the ShowerBreeze w/ 6' hose is just the most bang for your buck. So I added another to my shopping cart on Amazon, but on a lark decided to email the company first to ask if maybe I could just buy a new tip rather than I whole new unit, explaining what had happened. Within 20 minutes of emailing them explaining the conundrum (but without having bothered to look up an order number or any of that), a company rep had emailed me back telling me they had mailed me a replacement tip, and wrote directions for how to install. Three days later, the package arrived with SEVERAL replacement connectors, tips and o-rings, it installed just as easily as the rep had written, and I'm back in business - just in time, I was already sorely missing my morning dental irrigation!! Long story short? I do love my dental irrigation, decided the ShowerBreeze was the best bang for your buck twice over, and their customer service has won a lifetime customer. Now I'm looking for an excuse to buy another; I'd love to do more business with this company!! Couldn't be happier right now. I think I'm going to go Breeze my teeth right now, in fact!!

Had a few different Shower Flossers in the past, and this one definitely has a high quality look and feel to it. The water control valve itself is well made, unlike a few other ones I had previously. Extra long hose makes using it easy and convenient. It comes with a small roll of teflon tape for installation, and a storage bar that uses suction cups to attach to the shower wall to hold the flosser when not in use. In the picture you will see another valve that I installed, to turn off the shower stream while flossing. It saves alot of water that way. Simple install, just unscrew your existing shower handle, clean the threads, wrap a few turns of the teflon tape, and hand tighten the unit on. Then reattach your shower hose. No tools needed! It works great, easily adjust the water flow to your liking, and enjoy clean teeth! My dentist could actually tell that I was using some kind of flossing device! It does the job well!

I would give this thing 5 stars, but the issue is the adapter/diverter keeps bottoming out when fastening it to the shower head arm. I have tried 3 different shower head arms, adding more/less thread tape, and trying to really twist the diverter on the arm, but no luck. The diverter is never even and can be twisted off pretty easily. It does leak a bit if I do not use an absurd amount of tape unfortunately, but when it works, it works as advertised. As I said earlier I want to give 5 stars because the idea and practicality is perfect, but the issue with the diverter is very annoying and having to reach around back or on top of the device to twist it (not to the right or left of the shower head arm) is very frustrating for my partner who is much shorter than I am.

I bought this irrigator in June 2014 at the suggestion of my hygienist. I installed it immediately (and it was easy to do so), but didn't use it at all in October/November and February/March as I was travelling on business. It did a wonderful job of keeping my gum line clean and in good shape -- when I went back to the hygienist in December 2014, she commented on how nice my gums looked, even after not using the irrigator for two months. The water flow to the shower head was reduced, as some others have noted, but not to the point where I considered it problematic. After about 7 months of use, water started flowing out of the diverter valve and it got progressively worse. I originally posted a negative review but have revised that as Oral Breeze contacted me to find out what the problem was and to discuss what could be done, and offered to send out a replacement. I was encouraged to contact them if I had any problem at all. I was impressed that they reached out to me and think it is fantastic that they stand behind their products, which carry a lifetime guarantee and just as important, are made in the U.S. What's not to like? June 11 2015 Update: I installed the replacement, which has been improved in several ways. One difference is that there is a washer that fits into the end of the ShowerBreeze that screws on to the shower pipe, This makes a tight seal to eliminate leakage. However, you do have to check to make sure the washer seats properly in the ShowerBreeze and doesn twist up into the pipe -- it took several tries to get it right. A second change is that when you turn the lever to divert water to the pick, it cuts off the water to the shower head entirely. Additionally, the tube is a lot longer and the water comes out of the pic in more of a spray rather than a stream. Lastly, the Shower Breeze is slightly bigger than its predecessor and has a more substantial diverter lever, Operationally, the ShowerBreeze works very well and I am glad to be able to use it once again!

I've always had tightly-spaced teeth and flossing was virtually impossible -- even for the hygienist. Add in carpal tunnel, and doing it myself wasn't just *virtually* impossible, it was **impossible** impossible! So when the dentist recommended a WaterPik attachment for the sink or shower, I listened. We have cats so I opted for a shower unit. I bought this product because 1) it's supposed to be veteran-made; 2) it's supposed to be American-made; and 3) I wasn't plunking down $100+ for a brand name when I wasn't sure it would work. This was a trial run, and success would dictate an upgraded purchase of a high-end item. Initially, the unit was absolutely incredible! Easy to use, although in the shower you have to reach all the way up to the shower head to turn the flow on and off; tricky sometimes, but whatever. Also, the little caddy the tips slide into doesn't like to attach to the shower wall. But those were just annoying little problems... As for the rest of this, I'm SOOOO glad I didn't jump feet-first into a pricey one! Ho. Lee. COW! Let me preface this by saying that my husband and I have (individually and together) installed dozens of showerheads, faucets, etc over the years, from bathrooms to kitchens to laundry rooms and exteriors. This absolutely was not our first rodeo, plus it should have been the most basic install ever. When I purchased this unit, my husband initially installed it. He told me that he'd had trouble, that the piece didn't mount well to the pipe, and that he'd had to put it up twice to get it to act even remotely right. After the first failure, I redid his work -- not because I didn't trust his work, but because I wanted to see it for myself. I did it again after the next issue, then we tried a final time together; ultimately I threw the stupid thing away. The biggest problem we experienced: * The screw-on piece of the unit is about half as deep as it should be... There's no way to get a good, lasting grip on the wall pipe. * About 2-3 weeks after my husband's second installation, a thin stream of water started spurting up the back of the shower -- actually high enough to hit the painted wall, and nearly to the ceiling. * My first attempt at fixing the problem took excess Teflon tape; within a few days there was another jet of water going up the wall. * For my second attempt at fixing the problem (one that worked for a week or two), I took the main part of the unit with me to Lowe's. I talked to a worker there, and between us we came up with a gasket-and-converter combo that should have ended any problems (basically, the normal-depth shower pipe was attached to a converter, then the converter was attached to the too-short head piece). * When this failed, it failed dramatically -- MAJOR water breach! * We were both pretty much OVER this thing by then, but I'd invested a non-refundable $40, plus I REALLY didn't want to believe that a veteran-made product could be such a piece of flotsam, so we tried one last time. * You guessed it... water everywhere. Your hard-earned money goes down the drain on this one; no returns after installation because "there's no proof they caused the failure" or some such stupidity. I get it, sometimes people don't have a clue and do the wrong thing, unintentionally damaging a product or making it useless.... but dude. This should be like putting a garden hose on a spigot! Save your money, save your effort, save your frustration, save your time... avoid this stupid thing.

I had seen the countertop water flossers from the big-name brands at Costco, but I live in a tiny place and bathroom counter space is at a premium. The thought of giving up even more counter space for another appliance was a hard no. I also didn’t love the idea of constantly having to refill a water tank and then worrying about keeping that tank clean in a small, humid bathroom. For those reasons, I figured I would probably never have a water flosser. Then I stumbled across this one completely by accident. I read the manual before using it, and it comes with everything you need to get started. The materials and overall construction feel like good quality, and the setup is much more practical for my situation than the countertop models I had previously seen. The biggest thing is that I actually use it. It has become part of my routine, and I honestly feel like it has changed my dental-care habits for the better. If it helps me avoid even a few unnecessary dental visits or expensive dental work down the road, it will have more than paid for itself. For anyone who has limited bathroom space or simply doesn’t want another countertop appliance and water reservoir to maintain, this is a very clever solution. I went from thinking I would never own a water flosser to wondering how I went without one. Definitely one of those purchases I’m very happy I stumbled across.

I was a bit sceptical about this as I have a WaterPic which I paid a lot of money for. A few minutes work with some PFTE tape and it was plumbed in. It works very well and is superior to the WaterpPc in that it does not need electricity, nor does it have a tank that can drain. Being able to also irrigate my gums whilst having a shower is a combination that never really occurred to me, but it works and it works well.

This is a fabulous piece of oral care kit at a fraction of the cost of the rechargeable/battery driven hand sets! I was amazed that even after brushing and flossing this tool still cleans out even more debris from the gum margins! Top tip though, if you have a power shower be careful how far you open up the tap as it also comes with the brutal setting which is also awesome at cleaning out the shower grouting!
