Of course it had a little bit of a rubbery smell when I first got it but that was only when I picked it up and had it close to my face, once laid out I didn't smell a thing. I have vacuumed it many times and have not had any pulling from within the carpet or around the edges (knock on wood!). Some came out as I was opening the rug and there’s a visible spot that has fibers missing. The rug also came with the nasty vinegary smell. I put carpet fresh powder over it and left it overnight, hopefully that does the trick. Otherwise my entire classroom will stink tomorrow.
