HUOPO 28 inch 67lb Gas Struts for Heavy Lid with Mounting Brackets, 2 Pack

These gas struts are seriously impressive. I used them on a heavy RV bed platform, and they lift it smoothly with almost no effort. The strength is exactly as advertised, and the build quality feels premium with solid steel construction that looks like it will last for years. Installation was straightforward with the included brackets and clear instructions. I had everything set up in about 20 minutes using just a screwdriver. Once installed, the lift feels stable and controlled, with no wobble or noise. The one-finger operation is a nice touch and makes access so much easier. Overall, these struts are powerful, reliable, and worth every penny.

It worked great in our RV. We upgraded our mattress and it was too heavy for the original equipment that came with the RV. These shocks worked great and hold the bed cover just fine.

Building a custom storage bed, I needed struts that could lift the mattress and base without fighting me every time. These do exactly that. The 100lb struts hold everything up with no effort on the way up. Pulling it back down takes more force than I expected, but that's probably my fault for going too heavy on the weight rating. Comes with mounting brackets, which made the install quick. If you're building a lift-up storage bed or any kind of hatch, these are a solid pick. Just size down on the rating if your lid isn't all that heavy.

I'm very pleased with these struts. Let's be real, they're a commodity part, so there's not much to differentiate these from any other. I ordered the 35lb struts but I'd swear they're significantly stronger than that (which negatively affected my install, but it barely passed). My issue is that they came compressed (which is ideal) but the bolts on one end of each strut were not installed. So in order to install a strut, you have to uncompress them (cut the compression strap), install the bolt on one end, THEN compress the strut again and keep it compressed (HOW?!?), and install in the necessary location. If my goal were to keep something light open, this would be no deal, but this was for a very heavy RV bed that I couldn't lift without the struts. I sacrificed a ratchet strap from my truck to compress the struts and install them, so at least I got the project done. Overall pleased with the price and construction. I'm convinced they'll last a number of years. Just really irritated with the bolts not coming already installed.

Having the lift support made it so much better to hold up bottom of bed when getting into storage area under bed . Just a little push and it stays up to get into storage . The 15" struts fit good . Glides up and down easy, and does not bounce up when we are traveling down highway. The price was good and Honey likes how easy it is for her to get into the storage to get things in or out . Makes a Happy camper out of both of us .

While these are often marketed for RV beds or trailer covers, I put them to the test in a much more demanding application. I used these struts for the most amazing project: making an entire wall of my log cabin's utility room into a massive door. I absolutely love how the project turned out, but I think this product could benefit from having more options for mounting to the structure.

Had to return these because they were too strong for my application and got 70 lb struts instead which worked perfectly for my RV under bed storage, but these seemed to be good quality and would definitely hold up a heavy lid. They raised the lid easily with good damping effect, but the lid was not heavy enough to keep it closed.

Nice strong shocks. Used two on a trash can storage box I built.

These worked beautifully on our cover lift to our Beachcomber 750 Hot Tub. I highly recommend these shocks.
