Weedol Ultra Tough WeedKiller Liquid Concentrate, 6+2 Tubes

There are lots of weed killer products on the market and this make tends to be in the top percentile of the ones that you would want to use. You get a capsules inside the box which you twist the lid off and squirt into a watering can. What I learned though is if you have one of those pump sprayers that you can target it onto the weeds better and the concentration is higher so seems to be more effective. Just dont use the sprayer for anything else unless you wash it out well! Used this at my mums house as well as out the front of my house and it worked really well. It keeps the weeds away for a while but they return (like you would expect - like a child with a cold!) Would get again and the little pod things last a while but depends on how concentrated you use them and how big your weedy area is to work on. Dont get it near grassy or other areas where plants are as this stuff is quite bruital so flicking the last bit across your lawn.....big no no!

Have learnt that this product requires less water to dilute the chemical if using a watering can. It says to use 1 tube per 5L of water however it really wasnt effective for dandelions amd other hard to get rid of weeds. Would recommend using say 7.5-8L of water instead per tube. If not a little less. Adviice - May require a second treatment say 3-4 wks afterwards. Apply to weed leaves as will be more effective that way ie dont apply to weeds that have partially been got rid of by hand or tool. The weed killer needs to fully penetrate the weeds from tip/leaf to root for it to be most effective as its the leaves that create this process.

I decided to test out this product on a patch of hedge which was getting in the way in my garden, i followed the instructions, watered the area and waited the required 28 days. After two weeks the signs were hopeful as the hedge began to wither. The next week the product had taken hold and was in full swing, the hedge was beginning to die off. One week later and the hedge is dead. Now for the job of clearing the twigs (no leaves). I love this product and will certainly be recommending this to my friends..!

Does exactly what it says. Delivered on time and in perfect condition. The pre measured small capsules make it easier to get the right amount of weedkiller and saves any extra measuring. Fill the watering can to the required level, pop in a capsule and you're good to go. The capsules are easy to manage, and not fiddly so you dont end up with weed killer all over your hands. Squeeze the contents into the water, and dispose. I used this product and within days noticed the weeds starting to die off, they were completely gone by the end of the week, and have kept them at bay for six weeks. Be careful near the lawn edges as it will seep into the soil, and i did start to see browning of my grass even though i stopped far from the lawn edge... it does travel further through the soil than you think.

Buy on price as it does what most weedkillers do. Weedol is a reliable brand and as with all top brands it comes down to regular and appropriate application. There are certain 'stubborn' weeds that are best dug out.

Patience is key, as it stated on the packaging that results will take 2-4 weeks. It really worked, I am delighted with the results. I purchased as I have carpol tunnel in my right wrist, and can't manage to use scoosh bottles as very quickly my hand hurts, especially my thumb, so filling the watering can was really easy to cover large areas. This product even killed the dreaded Mares Tail, which affects loads of gardens in my street. Nothing usually wins that fight.
