Aw man where to start on these! :) First let me say that I've been a machinist for over 20yrs and after that long you're cursed with the mind set that everything you do has to be done with precision. I had a couple cheap pulse sprinklers from a local store and they both began leaking at the base and one started slowly rotating while getting stuck more often after no less than a month of use. After some research and pricing, I started to get the metal version of these but then seen the great reviews of these in plastic with the weighted insert and how some liked them even better than the metal ones after having used both. I got two of these and installed them on the metal sprinkler base 58030 which have no movement or leaks whatsoever during use. The sprinkler heads give me the exact precision of adjustments needed for me to be satisfied with. My centipede grass needs heavy watering with deep saturation but watered less often (twice a week during dry hot spells) for good deep root growth. Centipede doesn't respond well to alot of watering all the time. Again these heads are perfect for the situation, large water drops evenly spread with a steady slow rotation. I use both of mine working together to cover around 2000 square ft at a time and it doesn't take long to get the deep saturation that I'm looking for in the area covered. The heads turn freely and smooth with no hangups or stuttering action and the rotation can be stopped and returned to the start exactly where you want it. The spray is adjustable for the spread or distance you want which gives you the best coverage for your situation. These are very quiet sprinklers compared to my last ones (which I'm giving away now) and operate with very little water pressure as others have mentioned. Wife can be running the washer, kid taking a bath and two sprinklers running all at the same time and they continue rotating smoothly just as they do with higher water pressure. As a bonus, its very relaxing in the evenings/mornings while sitting on porch hearing the lightly pulse of the sprinklers running. With expensive items you often read in the reviews that 'you get what you pay for'. With these sprinkler heads you get an excellent price with everything and more for what you paid for compared with the more expensive heads. Simply a great buy!

Sprinkler MPR 5, Not the plus model that has interchangeable nozzles. This model puts out 3.5 gallons per minute, and is not adjustable regarding flow(GPM); aside from the diffuser screw, which can adjust length and spray. It is very fast, the machine gun of sprinklers, almost too fast. Will go from 0- 180 back to 0 in about 5 seconds. Does a great job and is very precise. I have a large gilmour sprinkler, and this will put out about 75% of what that will do coverage wise, but that gilmour is obtrusively large. I mounted it in a landscaping bed on a 1/2" riser. The popups just do not cut it, either not enough flow, or they over shoot plants. This is ideal, but does expend a lot of water.

I agree with the other positive reviews, this sprinkler head features high performance at low cost. I am amazed at the amount of area it can cover and the precision of the pattern. I have positioned these at each corner of the house so that they cover approximately 270 degrees with virtually no overspray (except if I want it). I can even sit beside the sprinkler and adjust it while it is running and not get wet. I run two off the same spigot with no loss of range. The price is very reasonable and if it were stolen or vandalized it can easily be replaced. Teamed with a 6" brass pipe Red Brass Pipe Fitting, Nipple, Schedule 40 Seamless, 1/2" NPT Male X 6" Length , an Orbit spike base Orbit 58197N 1/2" Step Spike Base for Garden Hose & Sprinkler , and some Orbit timers Orbit Single Outlet Programmable Hose Faucet Timer, Standard Packaging , I am able to irrigate my lawn thoroughly and efficiently, to the point where I'm not thinking installing in-ground sprinklers! I also use some brass hose Y-connectors Orbit 58248 Brass Hose Y-Connector with Shut-Off Valves to attach the hoses. Update: 6/2021: these do seem to require regular replacement every couple of years, mainly because even with the nipple stand-offs our gardener tends to whack them and they are not weed whacker proof. Still a good deal, I think.

great. First, I've had a ton of experience with these impact type sprinkler heads from working in a small tree nursery business some years ago. This fall I decided to some pretty major reseeding of my front lawn, I need two sprinklers to run off a splitter to water the seed, so I went to the local box store and picked up the splitter, specific hose lengths, and two impact sprinklers...,Orbit I believe is the brand, these had the green metal head and they are garbage, nothing but problems in evey way. So I had a freshly renovated lawn that was going to need water twice a day and garbage sprinkles. I came here, saw the Rain Bird brand amd bought the two pack of these heads only to use in the bases from the garbage green ones I bought. I've been using these Rain Birds twice a day for a month and down now to once a day and they're great. They're plastic so you do have take some care not to break them but they work on high pressure, low pressure, whatever. I adjust the distance control and the rotation degree daily when I move them and it's not a problem at all. The screw to fuzz up the stream is a pain but you just need to set it once so it just touches the stream and leave it, so it's fine too.

Once setting it up is done right, this is the best sprinkler I've used so far.

New to rain bird and for what this is, it gets the job done to my satisfactory. Included a video. Mind you it about a 10km/hr wind at the moment from the right to the left. I would buy another head from rain bird. Thank you for reading.

Ciertamente no es el mejor aspersor de impacto del mercado, pero considerando su precio y funcionalidad creo que vale mucho la pena! Se ha desempeñado mejor que otros aspersores que he comprado aunque hay que reconocer que los anteriores eran de menor precio así como calidad! El aspersor está bien armado y tiene un contrapeso que evita que se atore agregado a que puedes cambiar las boquillas! Creo que estos dos puntos son los que valen la pena e incrementan su precio pero a la vez eso le da un mejor desempeño
