WOW! Best read of the Pulse series!!!
This story picks up a year or so after the Nathan and Jessica moved in together in the conclusion of PULSE. This one is read from Nathan's point of view, which I thought was an interesting peak into his brain.... I liked it. And I really liked the new Nathan.Nathan no longer is the man-who're he used to be, but now a devoted caring man, working on being a better man and in sooo in love with Jessica that he has proposed to Jessica several times. Jessica too is in love with him, but keeps declining his marriage proposal..... apparently cause he's not romantic enough.... strange you think? Indeed!Much of their relationship was troublesome to begin with and it focused around scx, that has not changed in Impulse. Now, although in love, their troubles are due to Jessica past. She only had 3 partners prior to meeting Nathan, to his countless. So what's the issue if she has skeletons in her closet, he had a cemetery full of them and they worked it out., but in Impulse we found out that sweet-innocent-weak Jessica simply trumps Nathan's sordid past..... hmmm!!!So what could she had done that was so terrible? So what that someone from her past comes sniffing around? What does it matter that she had an illicit relationship with a senator/governor that she's trying to keep quiet? Why does it matter that she signed a confidentiality agreement? What if the secret she refuses to tell Nathan tears them apart? In this book she's adamant in hiding a secret, topping Nathan in diverting topics, she's obviously broken but chooses to fight her demons alone while dragging him down emotionally. It was so unfair that at one point I felt like yelling: "Jessica just tell him the damm secret already!!! Nathan: "Just walk away from that insecure-bipolar-weak biatch already!!" But neither happened, he stuck by her side and she finally confessed her secret.... and what a shocking secret it was! WOW! WOW! WOW!Will his love for her change? Will their relationship end?Are trust, loyalty, understanding, & communication the secret components they were missing to finally move forward into marriage?Sorry, but you'll need to read Impulse to get all the answers. All I say now is that they obviously do get their happy ending... But getting there is definitely a challenge and worth the read.Totally recommend this series..... a bonus free novella is included in the end. Thank you Deborah Blandon, I really enjoyed the added peak into Nathan and Jessica's future. Sorry it's over!

How intense
I'm not sure anyone couldn't fall in love with Nathan and Jessica. From the start, their connection was there. Talk about hot for each other, phew. I felt a few times a cold shower were needed.I love when the man just knows and doesn't give up. Such passion and fire, along with some secrets from both of them, make for a very interesting read.Looking forward to more.

This Story is a Real HEA!
I wasn't quite sure I'd find when I stated this story, but seeing the "real" Nathan was a wonderful surprise! I won't spoil anything for the new readers, or the ones that haven't yet read this but I'll tell you it was a great story and it made Nathan real for me. This is his relationship with Jessica from his POV and I was expecting the detached, playboy in love attitude but what I got was a real man in love with his girl that he fought hard for, and the relationship she and he both wanted, and fought to keep. There's a "reveal" in there to surprise you as it did me but it was emotional and it breaks your heart a bit but I was really proud of how Nathan handles it!Ms Bladon you did this couple justice in this novella and made me cry and smile and I was so pleased by the whole story! Thank you, and I look forward to the New Year! ππSo here is my star and hotness rating and a couple of emotional tear rating too...Don't deny yourself this book y'all it was so good!ππππππππππππππππππππππππππππx a zillionπ₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯x a zillionπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺ Not too many....there are MORE HAPPY tears! beautiful end to a great series
My 5 stars are for the pretty bow that this tied to the Pulse series. I lived the entire series and if you have read it, this will be a must read. I also think you will want to read this in order to feel better about Nathan. I didn't particularly like him in hardly any of the Pulse books but this is written from his POV but continues where the others left off. It is not a recap of earlier events from his POV.My only complaint is that it seemed to go from one sex scene to the next. We had read all of them before and seemed to constantly repeat the same thing. If would not be Nathan and Jessica without a few thrown in but by this point, I was hoping for more story. I did find Jessica being the one harder to like this time around. She was living by a double standard and did the exact thing to Nathan that she broke up with him for doing to her. I felt that drag on too long with him begging for her to talk and her refusing so many times.Still a great book and one you must read!

HEA
The passion and love between these two wonderful characters is amazing. The author is so skilled in letting us into their deepest psyche. We live their past and present. We suffer the consequences of their choices. Bladon crafts the perfect back story to bring us along with the characters. They are real, and current and so very solid. We cheer them in triumph, shed tears at the raw pain of errors, and sink into our pillows with the love that- while not a perfect life- it is a near perfect love. That LOVE covers a multitude of sins..past, present. And in the free Novella you get to read that follows- future! Yay for these books!
