Fast charging

**BEWARE - FIRE SAFETY RISK!!!** I purchased this product in good faith, trusting it was an official Samsung charger as advertised. I specifically bought it because I needed a long-lead charger while in hospital having my baby. After returning home, I continued using it and plugged it into the socket right next to my bed and directly beside my newborn baby’s crib. On the evening of Thursday, 27th November, just as my baby and I were going to bed, I noticed a strong smell of electrical burning. In a panic, I immediately picked up my baby and went to get help. When we returned moments later, it was clear that the charger was smoking from the base where the lead connects, and the connector was beginning to melt. Had I already fallen asleep, this could have easily started a fire — right next to my newborn. The thought of what might have happened has caused me extreme distress and anxiety. We have since contacted Samsung directly, and they have confirmed that this is not one of their chargers — meaning their brand has been falsely used to sell this product. This is completely unacceptable. This product is clearly dangerous and should be removed from sale immediately.

I'm sorry to say this was not a good buy. It would only charge very slowly, and soon gave up altogether. I'm afraid I threw it away. 😞

Ad says 25w, it's 20w... If that matters to anyone

Really needed an extended fast charger for my Samsung phone and this ticked the boxes.
