This is not carbon fiber, this is just plastic.
It is however, very nice plastic. It looks good. The carbon pattern is fairly pronounced and it is very glossy. I like it.

Looked great for the first year
This fit and look great for the first year. The finish started to fade shortly after 1.5yrs. Bought 2 sets a few weeks apart because I really liked them. They are both suffering the exact same issue.

Great quality, but very thick
The quality of the carbon fiber is great. However, I had to really work, to get it to fit the location, as it is much thicker than the frame I had before. Keep in mind, that your standard mounting screws, most likely aren't going to be long enough, to reach the threads. I had to go play at Home Depot, till I found screws that would work. I guess this is why the other plate frames I was considering, INCLUDE THE HARDWARE. Cheap add on, but in this case, it would have made the difference, between my rating and a 5 star.

Great quality, covers the state though
I think the quality of the frame was actually really good. I don’t know why people were complaining that it’s cheaply made. I really wish I could keep this frame and use it. The issue is that the frame is too fat. The top of the frame covers the word Illinois. Unfortunately, that’s illegal and will get me pulled over. This may not be the case for your state depending on where your state name is and how big it is.

Good value for the money, 2 license plates that are of high quality.
Very nice sturdy license plate. Looks like real carbon fiber. Has like a holographic effect to it like real carbon. It's not just some cheesy pattern painted on like some other "carbon fiber" license plates. I would definitely recommend these to any one. Really adds a nice touch to my Tucson Turbo.One thing to consider with these plates is that they are a little thick. If your license plate screws are short you will need to get longer ones. Not a deal breaker for me. My screws were just long enough to securely mount the rear plate.
