I bought these clippers after seeing a guy using them to cut his hair on a YouTube "short" video. I was a little hesitant to cut my own hair, but after using them I am not disappointed! The left and right taper guards make short work of creating a fade on the side of your head. I will definitely buy another pair of these if they ever wear out.

I've cut my hair only once so far but I was extremely impressed with it. My first time took me 30 minutes only because I was being careful but it worked great. My haircut looked pretty much the same as the fad cuts I get at the barber. I'm very thankful this product was made, it feels hefty and durable, not too hefty but feels of strong durability. I saw a youtube video of this product and when I saw how easy it was to cut your own hair I decided to give it a try and I'm very glad that I did. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has wanted to cut their own hair for a long time and is tired of paying for haircuts and spending the time as well to go get one.

I have had this clipper for 3.5 years now. It always worked perfectly, never had a problem with the guards. They go on and off easily, cleaning it is always easy. Over all perfect, never overheated, lightweight, powerful, battery wasn’t an issue since it’s a cord plug in. I haven’t used it in a few months, last time I did I cleaned it like always before storing it in the case. I went to use it today and it turns on but it is a hum and the blades don’t move. Plugged it into another outlet and same thing. I didn’t buy a warranty initially but I decided to check the original item here see if it said anything about a manufacture warranty. One of the photos in the post says it comes with a 5 year warranty but no contact information. I tried using the ChatGPT thing on Amazon and it didn’t have anything either. Not sure if it’s accurate but maybe they’ll see this review and offer assistance.

These clippers have been a game changer! I cut my husband’s and my son’s hair and these clippers have made it so much easier and with a shaper cut. It’s so nice how they come in a nice plastic case that holds all the attachments and accessories. They don’t have any complaints when I use it. It seems to cut the hairs better than other clippers I’ve tried. I really like the color coded sized clips that are included. Helps me easily identify the size I need. It also came with scissors, comb and plastic cap. I love that it is made in the USA.

This would be my first purchase of a hair-cutting "system" / hardware so please take a note that my "experience" in this area is very limited. Having said that however, I will continue on with the review. Packaging of the product (excluding the shipping box/padding) was pretty basic (a simple cardboard sleeve would be a way to describe it) however considering that everything that is included is inside a hard-plastic carrying/protective storage case it is sufficient. The product is neatly packaged inside the storage case with the attachments being in a separate compartment inside a plastic bag. The cape itself was put across the clippers and the attachments bag. Made out of plastic the cape leaves some things to be desired however it is sufficient for in-home use. The clippers are pretty heavy and feel sturdy enough so that they do not seem cheaply built. The set includes the clippers, 3 different combs, scissors, neck duster (ouch, the bristles are man-made and not on the soft side), cape, 2 hair clips, cleaning brush (small but effective), blade oil, 13 guide combs, left and right ear tapers, ear trim guide, eyebrow trim guide and written instructions/styling guide (leaves things to be desired as it is very short). Upon turning the clippers on they weren't super loud but are somewhat on the loud side although I've heard louder clippers at barber's places. Since I've never held clippers myself before I can not comment on the vibrations however it is very noticeable but in no way unpleasant. The clippers cut my (thick) hair easily without clogging up or getting stuck which was a pleasant surprise. I have not played around with the power setting screw yet however I might attempt to do so at some point in time even though the power has been set at the factory and should be at the optimum setting already. Some of the guide combs have been difficult to put onto the clippers (compared to others that were supplied) however I would imagine that every set is different so you might not notice this. I was not aware of any major heating up of the cutting head during use. The cleanup was a breeze since I have decided not to take the cutting head off and clean underneath it after the first use. I'll give it a couple of cuts before attempting to do so as I am somewhat reluctant to attempt it due to possibility of having to re-align the blades after cleaning which, to me seems somewhat tedious. All in all no complaints so far, I can not comment on the life expectancy of the product but as I've noted before it seems to be sturdy enough which gives me a hope that it might last for a while. Update (February 5th 2014): Just a quick update, the device still works after being used more than a few times since the purchase. It has more than paid for itself by now. No issues whatsoever, it's still as new even though I've used it every month or so. No broken parts no loose screws no dull blades, nothing. Cuts and works perfectly and as such I can safely say that the lifetime of the item is more than admirable. Update (January 15th 2017): Just went over my reviews and felt like making a quick and final update on this item. As of this moment the items is completely and utterly... AWESOME. Still works flawlessly and I've still had no (I mean literally NO) issues with it. Still works as well as it did when I first used it a few years ago. I'm confident that it will outlive me. If it's still available and you need some good hair clipper(s) you can not go wrong with this item. For all it's faults the good outweigh everything time and time over.

I've used Wahl haircutting clippers for decades. When my old one crossed the rainbow bridge I didn't hesitate for a second, I ordered a new Wahl! These new clippers are great! I've been using this exact clipper set for over 10 years so when my old clippers started to show their age I sprung for this set. Looks identical in design but I promise you it's not. This is NOT the old Wahl's that you've been using for years. This is garbage and it might burn down your house. First, the case it comes with is so flimsy that if you hold it with one hand it will bend over on itself and dump all the contents out. It's genuinely paper thin. I've used poster board with more structural integrity. Second, the combs and accessories are genuine garbage. The combs are so thin and flimsy I can bend it in half with 2 fingers like a straw. I still have the combs from my old set so I know what they are supposed to be like. You couldn't comb your hair with these fake combs if your life depended on it. Literally. Third, the guards don't fit on the clippers. They are either too big or too small. Some of the guards fall off immediately because they are too big, some of them won't fit on the clippers at all. One of the guards, the red one, is just big enough to clip on but as soon as you let go it pops back off. Fourth, the clippers themselves. I've got my old ones right beside this new one. The cheap feel is not just noticeable, it's severe. The old ones are sturdy and feel good while the new ones are barely even put together. Everywhere there's a seam I can push the plastic with my finger and it just comes apart. Ever had a key fob for your car that's worn out and won't stay together anymore? That is exactly what these clippers feel like. Cheap, flimsy, chinese garbage. Finally, the motor in the clippers. I decided to give them a shot and gave myself a buzzcut. Nothing extreme, nice and fast trim, been doing it since my military days so I'm proficient at it. The motor in the clippers got so hot it started burning my hand and I had to set it down and finish the trim with my clippers. After less than five minutes of use they were dangerously hot. Not warm, hot enough to make me set them down. I dare say if you leave these things turned on they will start a fire. I wouldn't use these to clip my dog let alone myself of my family. Wahls has fallen so far. What used to be a solid brand is clearly now nothing but cheaply made chinese trash. Folks, these are not your old Wahls so do not let the pictures trick you. It may look like your old clippers but I promise you they are not.

It's 110 Volts trimmer and not suitable for India. Despite using it with 110v to 220v Converter, its motor gone in the first use itself. No way to return and the Servicing centre don't accept it as it's not an Indian product. Total waste of money.

Excellent Quality of clipper. Guides plastic is of good quality and design. Overall, you can’t go wrong with this product.
